I will watch anything with more Summer Glau

From DH

Although Fox declined comment, multiple sources tell TV Guide exclusively that "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" has been renewed for a second season on FOX.

The series debut in January this year pulled in a stellar 18.4 million viewers and generally positive reviews. Interest however quickly slipped with subsequent episodes hovering around the much lower 7-8 million mark.

Despite the finale airing in late March, FOX still hasn't officially announced the fate of the series. The costs involved and loss of audience were not good signs, but the show was one of the few new series last season to score any traction - especially with the key demographic Murdoch's company covets - that its renewal is understandable.

Due to the writer's strike only nine episodes ended up being produced of the planned thirteen for the year. Producer Josh Friedman has previously said his plans are to incorporate the unfilmed storylines from the remaining four episodes into the start of next season.

Will they bring in Arnold Swarzenegger for S2?

In your dreams. He still has a state to run.

I'm glad that season 2 is a go. Now I am wondering if FOX green lights 13 or 22 episodes.

Deftones 04-20-08 10:25 PM

My guess, with the ratings it got, they will get 13 and be lucky if they all air.

sven 04-20-08 11:32 PM

If it were up to me we'd only get 13 episodes anyway. Expanding to a full season is what killed BSG for me. It generally just ends up watering down the story.

Geofferson 04-21-08 08:07 AM

Given the significant ratings drop, hopefully the creative team takes the show in a different direction (I was not impressed with season 1).

good news. I liked it. they need to get the DVD/Blu-ray out so people can catch up.

Not my favorite show in the world, but I'll watch S2

FOX TAKES BACK THE FUTURE WITH A SECOND SEASON OF "TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES"

This Season's No. 1 New Scripted Series Returns with All New Episodes

Brian Austin Green Joins the Cast as a Series Regular

FOX has picked up 13 episodes of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES (T:SCC) for the 2008-2009 season.

The explosive, season-ending cliffhanger left CAMERON (Summer Glau) rocked by a car bomb and SARAH CONNOR (Lena Headey) close to locating an important Skynet component. Viewers were left with unanswered questions regarding DEREK's (Brian Austin Green) true intentions and JOHN's (Thomas Dekker) fate as the savior of mankind. These questions and more will be answered in season two of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.

The show currently ranks as the No. 1 new scripted series this season among Adults 18-49. The action packed series represents an exciting reinvention of the "Terminator" film franchise, in which the strong and intrepid Sarah discovers that protecting her son and stopping the rise of the machines is more difficult than she had ever imagined.

Produced by C2 Pictures in association with Warner Bros. Television, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES is executive produced by Josh Friedman and John Wirth. James Middleton serves as consulting producer, while Toni Graphia serves as co-executive producer and Natalie Chaidez serves as a consulting producer for the series.

Good news. I just finally watched the 2 hour finale the other night, and thought it was a good ending, but nothing too shocking. I really like the cast other than Headey.

Damnit, I didn't go down the whole page. I assumed that since the official notice came out less than an hour ago, this was breaking news!

I'll ask Jadzia to merge this.

Merged the threads

Cool, can't wait to see where this goes

Traxan 04-22-08 12:27 PM

So will John finally bang the hottie Terminator this season? :)

I'm not sure she can get wet. And even if she had the ability to get wet, can you imagine what kind of ideal conditions would be required? She'd need the right music, lighting, amount of fourplay...it's just too much trouble.

Double_Oh_7 04-22-08 01:32 PM

Yeah, but Brian Austin Green??? God I hate that douche.

Nothing would happen - she'd ask too many damn questions.

zuffy 04-22-08 01:33 PM

Why would John care if she is enjoying it or not as long as he's enjoying it?

Have you seen him in the episodes so far? Most people here agree that he's actually done a really good job.

Well if she can't get wet, then he'll create friction that would cause his weiner to burn.

kvrdave 04-22-08 02:21 PM

Every show like this that gets revewed means one less show where people open boxes while 20 million Americans tune in. I am all for that.

I don't know why, but I get the feeling that the permanent addition of Derek (Brian Austin Green) means that he'll probably eventually become Sarah's love interest in the show. I figure that by the end of season 2, we'll find out that Sarah's pregant again with another kid from one of the Conner brothers and that she'll probably name her new baby boy "John" also just to confuse the heck of the Terminator's that are chasing her.

How's that for a different direction? -smile-

mdc3000 04-22-08 05:10 PM

I thought Season 1 got better as it went along and the show found it's stride. Glad Fox is brining it back for these 13 eps...seems like a good number and hopefully it'll get a bit stronger creatively to help draw in more viewers! Good news though, I didn't think Fox had it in them!

DJariya 04-22-08 05:27 PM

If TSCC is paired with Prison Break this fall, 13 should work out perfectly to transition to 24 in January.

Or does anyone think they will hold this until January and have it run 13 straight weeks?
