mytzplyx, I've gotta ask. Did you have a hamster walk over your keyboard to come up with that handle?
BTW, thanks for that 1st hand account -- interesting.

[Edit] This is a wonderfully written song (and kudos to Tim Rice who did an incredible job on all the lyrics for JCS) that captures Mary Magdalene's poignant dilemma in following and supporting Jesus. It's a very powerful piece that in the right hands can evoke some serious emotion, and Yvonne Elliman does this brilliantly. This is a great example of what ALW mentioned last night. Knowing the context of a song and what you're singing about can make a world of difference to both the singer and the listener. Hearing this song outside of its scene in the play...it's just another silly little love song. But experiencing it in its proper context transforms it into sublime art.

I know a lot of people think Brooke is done, but I'm still thinking of the demographics - who will KLC's fans vote for now? Brooke or Carly, I think.
Although Brooke just looks so uncomfortable, if she leaves tonight, I hope she can hold herself together. I agree that it's a shame about her, I used to think she had potential, too.

The only thing that would save Brooke White is if KLC's fans went to her, but I see either her or Carly Smithson going home tonight.
I wonder how hard Brooke will take getting voted off? Remember Alaina Whitaker's reaction (crying, couldn't sing)?

I wonder how hard Brooke will take NOT getting voted off? She's certainly shown herself to be her own worst critic and enemy.
As a musical theatre person, a part of me died last night watching AI butcher ALW's work. Syesha was the only one that gave a performance. Everyone else seemed to be stumbling around and again, not knowing what they were singing about (my apologies to foofighters7). Not a pretty night at all.

The problem with "I Don't Know How to Love Him" is the lyrics. Can you really see Brooke singing, "He's just a man, and I've had so many men before, in very many ways. He's just one more." Not that she pays attention to the lyrics of these songs anyway.

I don't know why ALW asked Archeluta to keep his eyes open. Seems pointless.

Thanks for the awesome inside information, mytzplyx. You're better than TMZ! Are you going to school in California? If not, that was one helluva field trip from Japan.

Yup, I go to law school here in LA. I just never bothered changing my location from Japan to LA because I lived in Japan for 2 years.
Our class field trip was actually split into two weeks. Half our class went to the Mariah Carey thing last week (I wanted to go to that) and half went this week. Or prof is an adjunct and EVP for a major TV studio and he hooked everything up.

Unbelievable that Castro & White are safe & Sayesha's head is on the chopping block (she's performing right now).
Kind of ambivalent about Carly, but neither deserve to go based on last night.
Oh, well. No one ever went broke underestimating the American public's taste in music.
