LOST ***SPOILERS*** for Remainder of Season Four ***SPOILERS***

From a conference call with Cuse and Lindeloff.

Spoiler:

* The title of the season finale is "There's No Place Like Home."
* When Lost returns, the show will follow Grey's Anatomy. Lindelof and Cuse aren't sure that the two dramas share an audience, but they are happy to share Thursdays with another successful show.
* When asked how the extended season finale came about, Lindelof and Cuse said that they felt like a shorter finale would cheat some of the episode's storylines and emotional moments. They already had to deal with a shortened season due to the writers' strike, and did not want to condense the season any more. Instead of cutting their original 80-page script to 55 pages, they wanted to expand it to 100 pages.
* Some "large and seismic events" will happen to the castaways between now and the season finale.
* By the end of the season, we'll know the fates of some of the non-Oceanic Six characters, but not all of them.
* In future seasons, there may be a shift in what we consider to be the past, the present, and the future. It will all depend on what point of view is being used to tell the story (island or mainland).
* The word "flash" (in terms of flashbacks and flash-forwards) might become irrelevant at some point. Fans should be wondering where the show's trademark "whoosh" will take them.
* The conflict between and Jack and Locke's personal philosophies will come into play in the season finale.
* Some "compelling" things will happen to Claire in the remaining episodes of season four.
* When asked what literature might figure into the show's future, Lindelof and Cuse said the following: "Continue reading the Bible."
* Lindelof and Cuse finished writing the finale on Monday, and are currently making some final revisions. They are shooting with two crews simultaneously to have the season completed on time.
* We will see more of Jeff Fahey's character, Frank Lapidus, in the season's remaining episodes. The story behind the freighter folks suffered the most from the strike, but their backgrounds will be revisited next season.
* Fans of the Jack-Kate-Sawyer love triangle will have "a bounty of interesting romantic scenes" to discuss in the near future. We'll also get more on Jack and Juliet's relationship in the May 1 episode.
* Don't expect a Lost spin-off to be announced anytime soon; Lindelof and Cuse want the series finale to be the end of the Lost story.
* Lindelof and Cuse loved the Find815.com experience, and hope to do something similar to generate excitement for season five.
* The Orchid Station video will "pay off in a big way" in the finale.
* Alan Dale, also known as Charles Widmore, will have more screen time very soon.
* The Black Smoke Monster will appear on the April 24 episode, and we'll see Jacob again before the season's end.
* The writers have every intention of revisiting the four-toed statue. They want to address questions about who built the statue, where it came from, and why it has only four toes.
* In a podcast, Lindelof and Cuse revealed that the game-changer's name is The Frozen Donkey Wheel. This code name is an inside joke, and will make more sense once the finale airs.
* Danielle and Karl were, in fact, shot with bullets (as opposed to tranquilizer darts). Their fates will be addressed on the April 24 episode. If Danielle is dead, that doesn't mean that the writers are done exploring her character's back story.

Dammit

EDIT - BTW, I'm not spoilerizing this quote because I feel the internal spoiler tags are redundant given the abundant warning Josh gave on the thread title.

Don't get pissed at me if you wanted to see a thread of all hidden text so you wouldn't be spoiled.

Yet another Oz reference. Cool. Any word as to who these episodes will center on?

to Widmore and Danielle. Widmore is one of the most interesting non-island characters to me.

This is what I had posted in the MJ thread. These are only my personal beliefs, not verified.

4.09 - Ben and / or Sayid FLASHFORWARD
4.10 - Jack FLASHFORWARD
4.11 - Locke FLASHBACK
4.12/13 - Claire (not sure)
