The "All will be revealed" promo has been stated on all of the promos for this season I believe.

I added the same as last week, except changing the "Season Premiere" to "this episode"

I thought last week was dynamite, this week was more of a firecracker... all the Lee stuff was pretty dull, especially because I'm not quite sure where he is going/what he's doing... the Baltar stuff was great though and the ending was good.

MrX 04-13-08 11:11 AM

The infighting between the cylons was the only interesting part of the episode.

I was also had no clue where Lee was going.

slop101 04-13-08 11:39 AM

Good thing they let Starbuck go her own way, because her constant "we're going the wrong way!" was threatening to become as annoying as Michael's "Waaaalt! They have my boy!"

Deftones 04-13-08 03:07 PM

Meh. Glad Starbuck is gone. Glad Apollo is gone. Glad they are showing more Cylon stuff, as that's more interesting than the human stuff at this point (sans the 4 secret Cylons).

Apparantly he's being appointed to the quorum. I thought they had to have elections and everything, but what do I know. Maybe the opening on the quorum is an opening as an assistant or something.

My working theory is that the mid-season cliffhanger will be

Spoiler:
the death of Laura Roslyn, with Lee Adama ascending to the presidency of the colonies. He'll have to decide between the Admiral and Kara as to the direction of the fleet.

Ranger 04-13-08 08:35 PM

I was hoping they'd send Apollo with Starbuck. That way, we could watch how they'd track down Earth with some bumps along the way.

Lara Means 04-13-08 11:24 PM

Good episode. All the Kara bashing is retarded.

collven 04-14-08 12:48 AM

One thing that bothered me about this episode was that, if Adama was going to send Starbuck off to try and find Earth, why not do it before that final jump? She's been screaming the last 2 episodes that one more jump and she would lose the "feeling" or whatever of how to get back there. I know he heard her say that, but he jumps anyway? What if she had said, "Sorry, I don't remember how to get to Earth anymore, that last jump scrambled my brain"?

Chew 04-14-08 06:56 AM

I don't know why I expected a rapid-fire pace to this last season of episodes, but we certainly aren't getting them.

I agree with the earlier comment: the Cylon stuff was much more interesting.

I agree... sending a raptor out to verify her claims pretty much from the get-go would have been the most logical thing to do.

either it was overlooked or it's a set up for a few starbuck episodes this season

milo bloom 04-14-08 03:06 PM

Starbuck herself pointed it out in the episode, the old man has become the president's wetnurse. It took Starbuck going right up to the edge of crazy, and just about tipping over it to wake him up and realize it.

Regarding the pacing of the first two episodes: if anything, these first two eps point towards a nice big story arc (for the first half of the season anyways), and no more of the hated stand-alone eps.

I enjoyed this ep, especially the basestar stuff. And there's some nice parallels with the divisive factions amongst the cylons and among the colonials.

al_bundy 04-15-08 07:44 AM

only reason adama let her go is to hedge his bets with the president's plan

saw this again last night from the DVR copy and the reason they let her go after the jump was that Adama was watching her during the jump and. and she didn't get a raptor, she got some sewage treatment ship called demetrius

Tracer Bullet 06-01-08 12:21 AM

I'm finally catching up with these now that I was able to finish the third season on DVD and oh my fucking god this episode was boring.

I agree that the Cylon plotline was interesting but it highlights the key problem with this show: no setup but lots of boring soap opera. That raider stuff just came out of nowhere.
