Seinfeld 2?
http://www.nypost.com/seven/03072008...d_2_100828.htm
Wow. --- March 7, 2008 -- Maybe this time, it'll be a show about something. Jerry Seinfeld is in talks with NBC for a new series, PageSix.com reports. The show, which aims to premiere in June, seems a lot like his '90s mega-hit "Seinfeld." Once again, the comedian will be playing himself in an exaggerated reality, in a show set in New York, sources said. It's also described as being like "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David's HBO series, "Curb Your Enthusiasm." David is said to be the real-life inspiration for "Seinfeld's" George Costanza character. The self-proclaimed "show about noting" ran on NBC from 1989 to 1998. |
Maybe this time he'll have a butler.

Show about noting?
This may do as well as Ellen. |
NEW YORK - Sorry, "Seinfeld" fans.
NBC and Jerry Seinfeld shot down a New York Post report Friday that the comic was in talks with the network about a new sitcom. The report, citing no sources, said Seinfeld would play himself in a New York series similar to "Curb Your Enthusiasm." "There's nothing to it," said NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks. Seinfeld's spokeswoman, Elizabeth Clark Zoia, also said the story was completely false. "We appreciate the enthusiasm, however," she said. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080307/...nbc_seinfeld_1 |
Well damn, I was moderately interested in watching NBC again there for about half a minute.

I've been watching Seinfeld 2 for years, it's called It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Well, technically, it's like Constanza x 5. |
Yeah, the June premiere date seemed kind of fishy...

Well, technically, it's like Constanza x 5. Why would Seinfeld even toy with this idea? He doesn't need the money. The original show went out on a pretty decent high note. The only thing he could do is tarnish near-perfection. That and the reviews for Bee Movie don't bode well for future endevors. |

Well, technically, it's like Constanza x 5. That's what I came here to say. |

What I'd like to see is them go the ridiculous concept route if Jerry ever does TV again. Make him the Sheriff in a rural western county who adopts the two black children of one of his deputies and moves in with two girls on the premise that the landlord thinks he is gay or something like that.

I hope he NEVER returns to TV at least in sitcom form. I've been generally disappointed with the other cast member's efforts, and can't imagine he would fare any better.

Anyway, at the end of the show he supposedly answered questions from the audience for about 10 minutes. I say supposedly because some of the questions seemed staged, but who knows for sure. Somebody asked him if he would ever consider doing another tv show and he said absolutely not. He said, he's rich, happy and tired and therefore wants nothing to do with another show. He didn't rule out a Seinfeld reunion show at some point though. |
