Jane Fonda Uses Vulgar Slang on 'Today'
NEW YORK (AP) - NBC News is apologizing again - this time for Jane Fonda.
The actress used a vulgar slang term on the "Today" show Thursday while talking about "The Vagina Monologues." Fonda is appearing in a 10th-anniversary performance. Fonda said she was asked to perform a monologue with the offensive word as the title. She said her reply was, "I don't think so. I've got enough problems." About 10 minutes later, "Today" co-host Meredith Vieira (VEE'-ehr-uh) told viewers that "Today" and Fonda apologized for the remark. NBC has recently apologized for comments made by Chris Matthews and David Shuster. --------------- was it the dreaded "c" word?! although I'm personally rooting for the word "twat". |
so what was the actual word uttered?
|
I hope she didn't use a word as vulgar and offensive as "pimp".
das |
Puddy-Tat?

There was nothing happening over on "Good Morning America" this morning that anybody would want to see, so I'm sure millions of people saw this.

Twat is the more UK word, C*nt is popular all around :)
|
Its not like she called Meredith Vieira a C*nt.
|
Man, we can't even use the word in that type of conversation?
|

Also know to Arrested Development fans as the "Seaward". |
Jane Fonda is a traitor and a c*nt.
|
Ironic that she would be using a word that so many, my father included, use to describe her.
|
C*nt wait!!!!
Oh, oops, I thought this was the Lost thread for tonight. |
So.... are there <i>any</i> of George Carlin's "<i>Seven Words You Can't Say On TV"</i> that still haven't made it on broadcast TV?
|
I thought all "live" TV was on a (10second?) delay, for this very reason. Was it a case of a banned word getting past an unattentive censor, or was it like the "pimp" incident where a perfectly OK word might upset certain sensitive viewers?

What I find hilarious is Meredith's apology. She seemed genuinely confused by why she had to make that apology and it was even funnier how Jane said it in stride. :D
|
Much ado about nothing. Kind of funny though.
And geez, time to let it go. Vietnam war was a very long time ago. |
|
She said something bad about 50 C*nt?
http://mybuddieslive.com/wp-content/.../09/50cent.jpg What a c*nt! :D |
