Next week will be the season finale unless FOX decides to re-start production and extend the season. They would probably need to extend the season into June if they decide to write and film the back 9 episodes.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:

The escape attempt succeeds for some, if not all, of the escapees, and those who make it receive assistance on the outside from an unlikely source. But one escapee inadvertently leaves something behind.

Let's hope they get those back 9 filmed and ready to go. This will be a very incomplete season if it ends after 13 eps.

Based on the spoiler...

Spoiler:
God I hope it's not something lame like Whistler leaving behind that bird book or whatever!

Winnah! What colour do you want your No-Prize :)

That was actually a pretty good episode. Tons of action. What will happen with Sucre? Now he's going to be in Sona, and Michael will feel obligated to break him out.

Geofferson 02-11-08 10:11 PM

^ Yeah, one of the better episodes this season...

Chew 02-12-08 06:18 AM

Gee, you don't suppose T-Bag just happening to find the Bird book is his ticket to freedom?

Despite the eyerolls that come with every episode, I will have to agree this was one of the better of the season.

Brack 02-12-08 07:32 AM

I love how we found out what was in the cooler and what the gunshot recording was for (though I already guessed), but it seemed almost unnecessary to keep such things a secret. It was a good episode, and imo back to form with the other two seasons since it came back from the break. Still not as good (the supporting cast isn't as strong as the first two seasons), but better. There should've been more to this season than simply getting LJ back, but oh well.

That was a GREAT episode. Definitly the best of the season and up there with one of the best in the series. Can't wait until the "finale"

djbrown 02-12-08 08:04 AM

It's a good thing the Sona guards chasing Michael and company didn't look down for footprints in the freaking sand when they lost them when they hit the beach.....

aktick 02-12-08 08:07 AM

I wonder if Sucre will get thrown in Sona and be tasked to get that bird book to save what's-her-name's ass. :p

Maybe they were all wearing a rope belt with a board attached to it that covered up their footprints as they walked. Yeah, that's it.

That was a fucking awesome episode. Shades of season 1 awesome. I can't wait for Scofield to kill Susan.

fumanstan 02-12-08 10:18 AM

I guess the end of the episode didn't leave me feeling as impressed as everyone else. Loved the actual breakout, although the bullet recording was rather cliche. I hated the end though. T-Bag should have been killed off a season ago, and they should have just left the McGrady kid as is with the happy ending and moved on.

God I hope they're not forced back to the prison for Sucre and the bird book.

cdollaz 02-12-08 10:28 AM

Would the bullet recording even come close to fooling anyone, even a dipshit?

firteen88 02-12-08 11:13 AM

I can't wait for Scofield to kill Susan.
I think we all know that's not gonna happen

although the bullet recording was rather cliche.
As they mentioned with the 'home alone' reference

Would the bullet recording even come close to fooling anyone
Why wouldn't it fool them? for a minute or so anyway. Why would they emmediatly assume it was a recording, in the middle of nowhere?

Agreed, his story will probably act as filler

Because the sound would be very distant sounding, even moreso since it is indoors. The biggest reason is that they wouldn't hear any bullets whizzing by or hitting anything. Even a bad shot would have to hit something, and that would make a noise upon impact.

Well, if you are returning fire, you may not notice because of the noise from your own gun.

There were a dozen completely unrealistic things in last nights episode, plus a few hundred more in the course of the series. The recorded bullets rank pretty low on the "I need to suspend reality" scale compared to the rest. You've gotta just ignore that kind of stuff if you want to enjoy the show.

boogieman03 02-12-08 12:10 PM

I actually felt a little bad for Bellick. I sure wish that was T-bag taking the beating, but he's the evil guy we love to hate, so they can't kill him.

Yeah, the unrealistic aspect of that didn't bother me; just the fact that something that lame was actually done.

Yeah, that was my problem also. It is only one of the many implausible things on the show, but this one just seemed like a silly idea.

I agree, and I loved the ep. overall, but to me even worse was the swimming WAY out to sea with those tanks. No way on earth could they have done that without getting seriously weighted down beforehand.

I liked Whistler's fake injury and getaway, and Mahone seems to be gone too.

Got to love this show - 3 steps to escape Sona:

1) Climb out of hole and hide under Trucks
2) ?
3) Run through jungle
