RIP Lt. Gerard and Prof. Victor Bergman
With Barry Morse's death, the final precious chapter of my childhood TV viewing experience comes to a close. What a brilliant, underrated actor, and not just in "The Fugitive" and "Space:1999".
From barrymorse.com and Anthony Wynn: It's very sad for me to write this message today - I feel like a piece of my soul has been ripped from me. Certainly one of the kindest and most generous of men has left us. It seems quite appropriate that the title of Barry's final book during his lifetime is the aptly titled "Remember with Advantages". Barry Morse passed away on Saturday, February 2nd at 8:00 am. He was in Hospital in London. Currently, we do not have any additional details related to the cause of his death. We do know, however, that one of his last duties was to attend and chair the last London Shaw Society meeting, held on the final Friday of January. I will post more information as it becomes available. Barry's wish was for no funeral service and for his remains to be cremated. He wanted his ashes to be scattered in the park garden at St. James' Place, which is just around the corner from the Pall Mall flat. At some point, there will probably be a 'celebration of life' gathering - either in London or Canada, or in both places.
