Sucks that there is only 1 more left after this one, but it's a nice treat to have this tonight after the Super Bowl.

With the strike probably coming to an end this week, hopefully we will see more episodes by April.

Yep, The Bitch Is Back! I was getting worried we'd never see her again. And I hope this means she starts hanging around with Wilson at work and getting in House's way a lot. That can only be fun.

Actually, I liked this episode a whole lot more than Tuesday's one.

Pretty solid episode, between the quest for cable, the south pole case, and the hunt for the new lady in Wilson's life.

Excellent ep, loved all the banter between House & Wilson, & House's line about being ok on Tuesday nights with network TV.

Very good episode. Probably one of the best this season. Loved seeing Amber (Cutthroat Bitch) back at the end. Even though Laurie and Sorvino were never in the same room together, I thought they had some good on screen chemistry.

Wilson was comedy gold in this episode.

"What? You're afraid the tumor will hear us and know we're on to it?"

"That's a shocker. Spaghetti sauce doesn't work as a culture stain"

Did anyone else not get this in HD? I have Charter cable and the whole episode was in SD only.

I like House, and I am not one to pick things and apart - but......

If I can figure out a House "mystery", then it has to be pretty lame -ie: ever since she wouldn't take of her socks I said "Something is up with her feet.

- I didn't know the South Pole had amazing broadband/T1 connections.

I'm just sayin!

This ep was better than I thought it would be initially.

Yeah, when she wouldn't take off her socks, I knew that was dead give away that something was wrong with her feet. But I chalk figuring that part out to having seen every other episode of House and knowing the show's basic "DNA structure" pretty well now. And I didn't figure out "why" her feet were the problem, though.

I figured they had to be connected via Satellite. As for why there was no time delay in the connection... that's just due to dramatic license because the time delays would've just slowed the episode down.

I think this ep is loosely based on a real life event:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerri_Nielsen

But the medical conditions were quite different; the real doctor had cancer. If I remember correctly, this was one of the first cases where 'telemedicine' was involved in saving a life.

The urine tasting was inconclusive, so they had to move on to number 2.

@datagirl7

The urine test indicated the coma was a head problem. There were two possibilities, one that it was cranial pressure. They had the guy drill a hole in her head to see if it relieved the pressure, if that was the problem she would wake up, which she did.

Then the team started doing the differential in the hallway. One of the possibilities was a tumor throwing off clots that would jam up the systems she was having problems with, but Foreman says they ruled out cancer and all the other clot generating options were ruled out. Kumar suggests the clots arn't clots, but maybe fatty plaque buildup breaking off into the blood stream. House dismisses the idea saying she has none of the risk factors. House tries to move on but Kumar stands up to him and says it could be a different kind of fat. House says it's impossible because it would require an unrepaired broken bone, which she doesn't have because he's seen her entire body except....(dramatic zoom in on House's face) he remembers the socks which she wouldn't take off during the physical exam.

Back in the webcam room House has the guy take off her socks. They find a black and blue toe. She says she couldn't even feel it and House says cold does an excellent job of numbing the extremities. They talk the guy through setting the break. Cue sappy music...she thanks House for saving her life. He says to thank the guy with her because he the one who saved her. The guy hugs her and with her head against his chest she and house look at each other for a moment before house turns off the webcam.

Cut to a restaurant with Wilson at a table alone ordering wine. House shows up and there's some witty banter with him speculating about the woman Wilson is seeing and Wilson talking about how House really liked his patient. And then the big reveal when Amber (aka Cut Throat Bitch) shows up as Wilson's date.

Good episode. Mira Sorvino is still a hottie. The video conference exam was fantastic.

The oddest thing about the solution to the case

Spoiler:
was that the woman never saw her toe bruised before. I understand keeping your socks on when you're cold, but South Pole or not, wouldn't it be likely that she'd take them off to shower? Or was I to understand that the bruising only happened after she x-rayed herself (and excluded x-raying her feet?)
