I'm a huge fan of American Psycho, so I've gotta go with my man Bateman.

Dexter has Bateman on all counts. His kills are more efficient, and I'm pretty sure his body count is higher. He's a more useful member of society. He has a better back story, and has interesting family and friends. His girlfriend is hot. And when not killing, he just seems like a better guy to hang out with. Besides, you couldn't get much worse than Bateman in that regard, who's idea of fun involves debating the finer points of business cards or the merits of Huey Lewis and the News.

Dexter wins, and it's not even close!

I love both, but with two seasons (and three books), I feel I know how Dexter ticks. Where as Bateman is more of an enigma.

In a strange way, I sympathize with Dexter, since there is a code/honor to what he is doing. He is not like Bateman.

Bateman on the other hand, is fascinating. He is literally all over the map...which is cool. And for anyone who saw the movie/read the book, knows there are some deeper questions posed.

Glad to see Dexter's winning...I agree completely.

For me, the issue is more the color of said card and Dexter's opinion of the song Hip to Be Square.

Dexter without a doubt, while I do think it is unfair that we compare someone who had an about 1:40 story line to someone who has lasted over 2 seasons.

I went with Batemen because I think he is more unstable and would kill someone in the heat of the moment

Two seasons of Patrick Bateman would be excrutiating. There wouldn't be enough substance to fill even half a season.
