Play in round - Star Blazers

Voting on the play-in round is closed, and Animaniacs wins it. Voting on the first 16 matchups in our round of 128 will begin tomorrow evening.

What does it mean "play in round" and reserved?

Play in round is becuase they had an uneven amount of shows, so the two shows that got the least amount of votes have to play in to make it to the actual tournament.

Reserved is for someone who is taking part in this and want to save a spot for when it starts up.

That time has passed though. (nevermind, I guess if he's in VA, then it would technically be tonight, even though I think most people say tommorow based on the next day period after they sleep)

"Tomorrow Evening" has come and gone, which is why I asked.

Today would be tomorrow evening according to his post. he posted at 12:xx am on the 23rd. How is it come and gone already? 23rd tomorrow equals the 24th. If he meant the 23rd he would of said this evening.

Ok, well I consider midnight or whatever to still be "this evening". I'm sure i'm not the only who took it as last night would be the start of voting especially since logic would dictate that it would start the next night after the voting ended for the play in round.

to each his own. I thought of it a different way, but using your logic you could be right to. not that it really matters though.

To be perfectly clear, the first 16 (which will be 1-16 versus the last sixteen) will be up likely some time between 11 and midnight tonight, eastern standard time. The voting will close 11:59 PM on Saturday, January 26. We'll be voting for 48 hours each time unless that entire 48 hour period falls on a weekend, in which case it will be 72 hours. I know some only visit during the week or while at work, so I want to make sure people in that boat have one weekday as an opportunity to participate.

It might have been better to mix things up a little bit (like 1 vs 128 and 64 vs 65 in the same round). That way you get a mix of interesting matchups each round. This round will probably result in 16 blowouts.

Actually, I'm doing it this way precisely because I think it will give us a better idea of how the favorites are doing at any given time. It should also in theory make the last half of the first round matchups really competitive.
