Where's Scrubs?

Has this already run out of new episodes? It hasn't aired for at least a month.

What has happened?

Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. 01-10-08 06:11 PM

returns on January 24. I think there are 4 or 5 more episodes.

Goldberg74 01-10-08 08:08 PM

Luna is right: "My Bad Too" is the next new ep and it airs 1/24.

I love my "TV Forecast" widget! :D

MetalGator311 01-10-08 08:09 PM

I hope we still get an episode with David Cross as Tobias Funke

Aegean2007 01-10-08 08:13 PM

1/24? That's impossible. The last two episodes of Chuck and an episode of The Apprentice are on.

From TVGUIDE: The Princess Bride spoof is airing Jan. 31st. Braff as the village idiot

Spoiler:
In place of a musical, this season's extravaganza, directed by Braff, will pay homage to The Princess Bride, centering on a bedtime story Dr. Cox tells his daughter. That means wild costumes for cast members who will play such characters as the village idiot (Braff), a giant (Flynn), a princess (Chalke) and a knight (McGinley).

Because of the strike and this being the last season, will we be getting a true "finale"?

Bill Lawrence has said he will shoot one if he has to pay out of pocket/call in favors/etc. But it doesn't look likely that it will get a "proper" finale on NBC.

What makes you say that? If NBC doesn't get any new shows to pilot because of the strike, they're gonna have to take what they can get next fall. They'd certainly take a fall's worth of the remaining Scrubs episodes over NOTHING! They might even revive Journeyman. -pray-

Ya, but they'd have to renegotiate the entire cast and crew contracts. That'd be huge $$.

From TVguide.com

Question: Great news about the tentative agreement between writers and networks, but whatever does this mean about our dearly beloved Scrubs <http://www.tvguide.com/tvshows/scrubs/100387> ? Will we get the final episodes that we fans and the Scrubs gang deserve?— Lady

Ausiello: I just hung up with Mr. Scrubs himself, series creator Bill Lawrence, and he says "the worst-case scenario is that ABC Studios lets me make the last four episodes as a DVD. And I say it's the 'worst-case scenario' because I'm going to try as hard as I can to get NBC's support in finishing the show up on TV. I just don't have any definitive answer because I haven't been talking to them… The second we're told that we can go back to work, I'm going to give [Peacock honcho] Ben Silverman a call and say, 'Scrubs has been on NBC for seven years, and it would really be a bummer if I didn't get to end it there.' And I'm hoping I'll get a positive response. I would be surprised if NBC didn't want to figure out a way to end the series on their network." I wish I could be as optimistic. Remember, this is Ben Silverman we're talking about. The same dude who publicly dissed Friday Night Lights. But more on that later….

That stuff cracks me up.

ABCs one decent sitcom is on NBC. (Scrubs)

NBC/Universals biggest hit drama is on FOX. (House)

FOX's two good live action sitcoms are on NBC (My Name Is Earl) and CBS (How I Met Your Mother).

Why wouldn't you produce a show that all the risk is on another network? You win either way.

Thats fine, I'm just saying, it's funny to me.

This didn't air yet, did it?

Kicker_of_Elves 02-06-08 04:26 PM

Nope, no new episodes since Nov or Dec.
