How is no one discussing this?

DVD Josh 01-10-08 12:55 PM

Because it reveals very very very very very little. The final cylon is still unknown. The people who it isn't are obvious.

Chew 01-10-08 12:55 PM

Give us some new episodes! That we'll discuss. ;)

mphtrilogy 01-10-08 01:10 PM

I've already forgotten most of the cliffhangers...

You could probably skip the first 15 episodes and watch the last 5 and be sufficiently caught up thanks to Universal's meddling.

Do NOT skip the first 4, as they are excellent, and among the best of the series. THEN you can skip to the last 5.

Really? I thought

Starbuck
was the final cylon. Or am i just remembering speculation?

It was inferred by most the viewing audience. RM certainly does seem to indicate that that's not the case, though.

I mean, I 100% agree with you. It fell into place for me during the finale. Everything that character experienced made sense once I thought of that.

But Moore has said while we have seen the final cylon, they have not been revealed.

DVD release for Season 3 is set for end of March, IIRC.

Yup, March 25th. And it's #1 on Amazon's sale chart today.

I just started watching this series on HD DVD and was wondering if they might do a marathon of every episode before the next season starts? I'd rather watch it in HD than rent it on DVD.

SciFi has been notably bad about not re-running this series. I actually got into when S1 was being re-run in a marathon, and I DVR'd all 13 eps and just blew through them, and became a big fan. I hadn't given the series a single thought before I happened to catch it in reruns. If they had put some effort into it, they could have built up an audience by playing the hell out of the first two seasons, but they probably got better ratings with their 'rasslin' shows.

Exactly how I got into it. :) Always saw people here talking about it, and I was never a sci-fi fan AT ALL until Lost (which I realize isn't completely sci-fi). So I saw the marathon coming on, decided to Tivo it, and blew through them right before S2. You guys will laugh, but I had never really watched Star Wars until after I got into BSG (saw them on TV when I was a little kid, but just laughed them off as something only "dorks" watch). So thanks to Lost, then BSG, and the folks here, now I'M one of of those dorks.

And they're missing a golden opportunity. With nothing new on regular network television, SciFi could offer this as a "catch up" option for people who want to watch the whole thing.

I can't believe NBC isn't doing that. They already pulled L&O:CI back from USA, why not something that could be hugely successful?

I haven't watched BSG in HD, so I'd love to see it on NBC again (even with NBCs crappy HD quality).

Universal HD is airing it too, and it looks great.

Now see, I'd rewatch S1 and S2 if they aired it in HD on NBC!

Me too. I'm going to need a recap of who's sleeping with whom. There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief. I can't even remember who took Kelly to the prom.

Chew 01-11-08 12:46 PM

Wait, is Slater the last cylon?
