One thing I would have really been surprised by, and would have shown some balls, is if they actually kept the daughter in this world not allowing Dan to fix it. That probably would have lead him down a dark (and unfun) road (fans of Spider-man know what I'm talking about), but that still would have been interesting to see. Seeing his own daughter actualized though, I'm surprised Dan didn't broach the subject of having another child again. Maybe that happens in the last episode?

It might have been better as a lasting twist that eventually gets resolved, but since there was only one more episode (and an episode that has it's own agenda) I think it is for the best that they fixed it by episode end. Besides, it gave a nice emotional ending.

Terrific series and great episode. Can't believe the show is going away.

I will certainly buy it on DVD. I sent a couple emails/faxes to NBC but I doubt it will do anything.

I'm going to miss Moon Bloodgood more than anything. Her performance was excellent last night, particularly her scene in the cubicle. Top-notch stuff.

It sad to see this show hit its stride just before it goes bye-bye, but at least NBC didn't pull the plug on airing the final episodes - thank you, Writer's Guild.

rfduncan 12-19-07 08:41 AM

This is all I'll say - WHOA!

Seriously. I watched this last night and was blown away. It was only made more mind-blowing by the fact that this show's final episode is on tonight. That sucks.

Ayre 12-19-07 08:59 AM

The episode was great. So much potential.

This would be a perfect show for the USA network, but it probably costs too much just for the lead actor.

I now pray to a new God ... Moon Bloodgod.

derekjet 12-19-07 10:25 AM

Is there any chance this actually could go to USA Network like one of the Law and Order shows?

If they can pay Mr. Big and the loon from Full Metal Jacket, why not the blonde?

Yeah, I meant if the show was definitely going to get a full season run. I'm really hoping this next episode gives us some closure. I really hate that the mystery is just starting to pick up, only to have no resolution at all.

riley_dude 12-19-07 10:57 AM

The creator has said in an interview that there were be closure and resolution to some things, not all things.

Couldn't agree more. Top-notch acting/crawling that will be sorely missed.

Why do you think I stuck with "Day Break" last season? Nothing like watching Moon wake up in the morning every episode in her night-time attire.

Mordred 12-19-07 12:25 PM

I was a little unsure about this show through the first couple of episodes, but I loved Rome and Kevin McKidd so I stuck with it. They keep getting better and better, and last nights episode was one of the best hours of TV I've seen in a long time. At least the show is going out with a bang.

valkyrie 12-19-07 03:28 PM

Awesome show. This episode was better than any before it. Great stuff. Can't believe they're keeping "Life" and killing this off. Although I like both, I was sure the former would go first.

So sad, great show. Kudos to the actors and staff for putting together a great series!

Bandoman 12-19-07 03:30 PM

I'm getting tired of becoming hooked on quality shows like Journeyman only to have them cancelled because of network stupidity. I don't know why I bother anymore.

Cardiff Giant11 12-19-07 04:00 PM

I also really liked it, maybe not the best episode of the series but very good. Hopefully tonight's will be a nice closure to the show. Still hoping against hope USA/SciFi pick it up but it's doubtful I'm sure.

How does Livia know that leaving advanced technology is a bad thing? So far we only see her travel to her future, where leaving 1948 technology wouldn't be a problem. It suggests that she has also traveled to her past (or that the writers goofed).

...or she's just observant. She travels to her future... brings something back... travels to the future again and oops everything's different.... and it's still likely that she also travels to her past the way the scientist explained their time traveling.

riley_dude 12-20-07 09:53 AM

Loved the episode and the last shot too.

cracksky 12-20-07 11:24 AM

When Dan first came back (after dropping the camera) and arrived home, Zach was still there. This doesn't make much sense unless the technology only would've been used if he went back to try and get the camera back. If he had left it alone, Zach would still be there. Maybe there would still be the nanotechnology but is that really a bad thing a few years early? Maybe when Dan confronted Chris with the camera, it gave him the motivation to do something with it that he wouldn't have before. If Chris or his friend had used the technology some time in the past then Zach would have been replaced with Caroline as we saw later on but he wasn't initially.

I think by Dan going back and confronting Chris and Dewey, he brought the camera to the attention of the woman who worked there and that was the person who most likely started the Nanotechnology company. Dewey most likely started a rival company.

Big Boy Laroux 12-21-07 09:56 PM

right, we know Dewey wasn't the one who actually took/bought the camera. You saw how he backed off when he heard Chris' asking price. The security lady was the one who used the camera. The dewey thing was just a red herring.

So sad to this show treated so poorly by NBC. After a slow start, this was one of my most anticiapted weekly shows.

I thought the ending was very appropriate. Just great.

I dont get why you say it was treated poorly. I thought they did a decent job on a show they probably knew wouldn't be able to get the numbers. I don't think it was a fatalist attitude on the part of NBC, just a realistic one. If by chance it caught on then it would have been treated differently, but it never did. Everyone had the opportunity to watch it and everyone I know has some form of tv guide, whether in print or not. People knew it was there. Its a cheap shot to blame the network and one I see EVERY time a show that someone likes is canceled.

It should have been stronger out of the gate. It is almost a necessity in todays market place.
