Supernatural -- "A Very Supernatural Christmas" -- 12/13/20007
Synopsis:
Not only a new episode, but a Christmas-themed one! Whee!
(Unfortunately, I think this may be the last episode in the can for the season.)

Thanks for the heads up, I thought tonight would be another rerun.
I still have 6 episodes recorded that I haven't seen yet, so maybe the strike will be over by the time I get caught up.

So they were the gods who were eating people, but they would only eat people who bought the wreaths? So one of them was the "Santa" who grabbed the guys, killed them, and dragged them up the chimneys?

Very good episode last night, this one and the previous new episode "Fresh Blood", were probably two of the better episodes of the season. Anyone else disappointed in how bright everything has been this season?

I thought it was a bit disappointing, mainly because of the bad gods being a bit too silly in their WASP-y '50s behavior. Overall, this episode seems to have been made mostly for rerunning each December.
(Also, it seemed odd to me that Dean wouldn't already know that most Christmas traditions are pagan in origin.)

I did like the flashbacks somewhat. Thought it was cool that we finally found out where dean's necklace came from.

I agree that the episode as a whole was real weak. I did really enjoy the flashbacks that showed a bit of their Christmas history, and even their little exchange of presents this year. It was depressing and touching at the same time. "Yeahhhh...nudie mags!"
