I'm surprised. I thought it would be 15 hours of Deal or No Deal.

I thought I read the other day that game shows and reality shows were in trouble also becuse they need someone to write host stuff, and can't find people to write that stuff either.

Seeing as that post is contained within "Fall 2007 New & Returning Series Premiere dates", it makes sense to start a new one instead.

Well at least I can look forward to a couple more Friday Night Lights and hopefully a full season of Medium (1st time in HD for me!).

Unspecified Comedy Series.

That's not like the "Hey look who's knocking at the door" show right?

Wow. Looks like I will be watching a TON of DVDs, HD DVD, Blu-ray in the next few months. Maybe thats a good thing?

Looks like in January the only thing I will be watching is Scrubs and FNL on NBC. Fox has a few episodes of House and Bones, CW has Gossip Girl...thats it.

You mean Thank God You're Here? That certainly is unscripted - well except for the setups which either were written for or invented directly by David Foley.

I would say that show was semi-scripted. The dialogue was improved, but it was clear that someone had written premises and outlines. Every time the celebrity guest did a little improv, the repertory company would steer the guest back to the next pre-determined plot-point.

Which means, hopefully, that without writers we'll be spared its return.

Well, there's a new season of Torchwood starting in January on BBC-America, and isn't The Sara Connor Chronicles due to kick in next month?
Some of my favs (House, Brothers & Sisters) have a few episodes left, and I have plenty of DVDs lined up (Twin Peaks, NYPD Blue, Alfred Hitckcock Presents, etc.) to fill my TV urge.

So Chuck is getting pushed back until February for American Gladiators?

Normally I would be really interested in watching another edition of The Apprentice, but the celebrity edition sounds like a train wreck especially with Omarosa's return.

I wonder how many episodes of Lipstick Jungle are in the can especially since Kim Raver was pregnant when they started filming in September.

I'm looking forward to Medium returning, but only 9 episodes in the can stinks.

So they are moving Criminal Intent from USA to NBC. Previous statements have implied it. There are as yet no ads on USA mentioning this. The schedule also implies the cancellation of Bionic Woman.

Yeah, following that logic Heroes, Scrubs, My Name Is Earl, The Office, 30 Rock and Life (which we already know got picked up for the back 11) must be cancelled too.

Reality TV is taking over the network airwaves. So sad.

What's the deal with American Gladiators?

Will that be a new version of the show? Strike or no strike I can't believe NBC would be desperate enough to re-run American Gladiator episodes from 15 years ago.

The old school American Gladiators is on just about every day on ESPN Classic. I watched it for a while last year, but it was amazing just how fast the novelty of that show wore off.

I suppose I wouldn't mind watching an updated version of the show with some new events though...at least for a couple weeks.

Come on. They couldn't even come up with some new events. The joust? The wall? Hang Tough? Powerball? Everything looks exactly the same except that guys like Joe Theismann and Larry Csonka have been replaced with Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali and instead of Nitro and Malibu there are some different douchebag gladiators.

I mean seriously...they've had over a decade to come up with some different events. The wall was boring 15 years ago. I'm sure it'll be boring now too.

I believe NBC is just repeating the episodes that have aired on USA this season. That was always the plan.
