12/06/07 - My Name is Earl - Early Release

Summary:

When Earl finds out that the Warden has destroyed all the certificates that would grant him early release from prison, he seeks the help of his friends to escape.

This should be interesting. Dumbass warden should have just offerred Earl a job when he got out. Probably will end up doing that anyway.

I was thinking he'd either be hired or end up suing the state prison. They indicated last week that he blew the rest of his lottery money on the Prison Prom, so he'll need some means of support.

Wow, this episode really made me hate Craig T. Nelson's warden character. I was hoping something bad was going to happen to him for what he did to Earl.

And was that the Vulcan Nerve Pinch that Darnell gave to the guard?

And what's the name of the song that played when Earl was in solitary confinement? (I only recognized it as something I haven't heard in at least 20 years.)

This was one the best (and funniest) episodes of Earl this season.

Randy in that air duck trying to escape with the guys, Joy and Darnell dressing up as nuns... great stuff all around.

Pretty good episode overall. I'm glad they keep putting Earl in new scenarios. First the lottery, then jail, now he's out of jail but broke. I guess they've completely abandoned the list(?) so I wonder what's in store for season 4.

I liked this episode as well, especially Joy and Harry.

"What's the point of shackles if he can do that?" :D

I think they milked the prison thing for just the right amount of time. I'm curious how the 'failure of karma' is going to effect Earl when the show comes back.

There's one more episode before they break.

I'm pretty sure Darnell was a priest.

"Man, you gotta do some grooming. Looks like a thimble with a clown wig down there."

I liked the line about tailgating an execution and Darnell informing Joy he was actually protesting.

That was a great bit. I hope that they can manage to keep Craig T Nelson in the later episodes. He's been a great add to the show.

I can't find the name of the song right now, but people in the San Antonio area will recognize it as the morning show theme song on Lisle & Hahn on 99.5 KISS.
