Dirty Sexy Money: "The Nutcracker" 12.5.07

I didn't see a thread on this week's show.

"The Nutcracker"

Spoiler:

DIRTY SEXY MONEY - "The Nutcracker" - Nick learns Simon and Karen are secretly seeing each other, but he refuses to admit why it truly bothers him. Karen bails on the family tradition of watching "The Nutcracker" in order to accept Simon's invitation to meet a mysterious person. Brian's suspension from the ministry thrusts him into an existential career crisis, and Letitia suggests he go to Tripp for guidance. Lisa guides Jeremy in his quest to impress Sofia by pretending to be a painter. Meanwhile, Juliet has a visitor from the Seychelles, and Carmelita tells Patrick she thinks she's being watched.

I'm going to miss this show when it's gone. It's a soap to be sure, but Underwood, Sutherland, Krause, and most of the kids are just outstanding in their roles.

This show is so good. I was excited to see Jill Soloway co-writing with Craig Wright. She wrote my favorite SFU episode (I'm Sorry, I'm Lost).

The sponge absorbing the pot smell.

Another great episode. So what do you think happened to Carmelita? Somehow I think she's cooked up a scheme with the driver to scare Patrick. Seems like Brian has hit rock bottom. Time for him to do some serious soul searching. Let's hope he can reduce some of those anger issues in the process!!!!

Seriously, who would even WANT a giant scrubby sponge?

Regarding Carmelita, I wouldn't be surprised if Clark (the driver) was the one who broke in. He knew to avoid the ficus, he's been doing this for 17 years for the family. He doesn't seem like the type, but maybe that's why. The only question would be who orchestrated it - Tripp or Mrs. Patrick Darling? Perhaps even Simon if he has just as much interest in seeing Patrick get elected.

I love this show and it just flies by. Going to miss it.

Anybody else think that Sofia has known who Jeremy is all along?

Yeah I was thinking she was dead on her floor when Patrick got the call. I know Carmelita was only supposed to be in a few eps but they extended her role so I figured time was up. Who knows at this point...

Ok, I'll admit...Brian looked amazing in his suit in Tripp's office. I think the guy that plays him was a model and he can still still rock the look.

Good episode but I don't like the Jeremy and Lisa storyline or the Karen and Nick for that matter, 'cause I know where that's probably going.
Why does every show have to have the cheating angle? It's so lazy

I thought so too. I hope they drop the priest angle and have him take over the empire. I'm not sure there's anyone else qualified to step into Tripp's shoes (not that we know that Brian would be qualified).

I don't think it's likely Brian would step into Trip's role. My guess is that if this show developed over 8-15 years like it almost certainly won't given the ratings, Jeremy would be the one taking over.

I thought Tripp and Liticia already stated that they wanted Nick to take over the Empire? Plus with Liticia saying she'll help Karen get Nick and all that. I guess the "new" revelation could change things but who knows...

Can you really trust what Trip says? I'd be shocked to see a non-Darling or a non-male in power over the Darling empire, which is why I think we're down to Patrick or Jeremy. It seems to me that between the two of them, Jeremy is pretty clearly more like Trip. Jeremy also hasn't betrayed his father.
