What will you watch to fill the void?

dvds, History, Discovery channel, etc.

showcollector 11-20-07 01:34 PM

The L word Season3 and Season 4 and Weeds season 1 and 2 and A Lost season 2 set I never watched because I heard the show was going downhill.

DJariya 11-20-07 01:39 PM

Very simple answer:

Catch up on my 60+ hours of DVR programming

Watch some of my DVD collection

Watch the movies coming in from Netflix.

I'm not going to say I will specifically watch show A, B, C etc.

Shazam 11-20-07 01:57 PM

Staring at the wall, in my lotus stance until flowers bloom again.

Kal-El 11-20-07 02:14 PM

Probably catch up on my NCIS. I still have quite a few episodes from last season and haven't watched this current one.

Michael Corvin 11-20-07 02:29 PM

I've been working through my unwatched DVD pile while the TIVO has been filling up with this seasons shows.

So during the strike I'll be watching this season's shows/episodes.

Groucho 11-20-07 02:39 PM

I was going to check out Veronica Mars on DVD since everybody raves about it so much. But after seeing what a shitty actress Kristen Bell is on Heroes I'll probably go with another show.

Give the pilot a chance. Just rent the first disc (and ignore the Paris Hilton episode), and you'll fall for the series.

In here, too, Groucho?! Seriously, you should give her a shot in Mars. She is so instantly likeable in that show, maybe she'll turn you around.

superman69 11-20-07 11:50 PM

honestly have no idea.

boredsilly 11-21-07 04:38 AM

I have some series stacked up that I want to watch(Mad Men, Rome), but I honestly want to read more. So I'm going to use the excuse of there being no new tv to catch up on some books.

The WGA strike could revive the Book Talk forum.

Lord help us!

DJariya 11-21-07 11:38 AM

Screw books! I'm not in High School or College anymore. I need visual aide.

Brian Shannon 11-21-07 12:06 PM

I have a dvr full of Law & Order. Since I never watched the show it is all new to me.

Tscott 11-21-07 01:43 PM

I think I should be set for a while. In addition to the must own 4th season of The Wire (13 episodes) out next month, I've got the following unwatched in my collection:

Adventures of Brisco County Jr. - The Complete Series (0/27)
Black Adder - The Complete Collector's Set (watched 3 of 26)
Blue Submarine No. 6 DVD Complete Col (0/4)
The Corner (0/6)
Corner Gas - Season 1 (0/13)
Corner Gas - Season 2 (0/18)
Corner Gas - Season 3 (0/19)
Corner Gas - Season 4 (0/19)
Elfen Lied: Complete Collection (0/13)
Ergo Proxy Vols 1-6 (0/23)
Flight of the Conchords: The Complete First Season (0/12)
Gasaraki DVD Perfect Collection (0/25)
Gilmore Girls Season 7 (0/22)
Haibane Renmei (0/13)
Masters of Horror: Fair-Haired Child
Masters of Horror: Pick Me Up
My So-Called Life (0/19)
The Sarah Silverman Program (0/6)
The Tick Vs Season 2 (0/12)
Twin Peaks Gold Collection (watched 15 of 30)
Undeclared - Complete Series (0/18)
Witch Hunter Robin (0/26)
WKRP in Cincinnati - First Season (0/22)

For a total of 370 unwatched TV episodes.

Yavin 11-22-07 09:08 AM

So, this is it. Thursday night. No more new episodes of 30 Rock or The Office. What will I watch now? I guess re-runs ...

LorenzoL 11-22-07 09:14 AM

I have a lot of recorded shows on my DVR and piles of unwatched DVDs that I need to catch up on. I'm not really stressing myself on what to do once the new episodes run out plus my job always keeps me busy.

Sounds like you're doing exactly what I think some other folks watching Heroes are doing - you're confusing the actress with the part she's playing. Bell's a great actress, and if watching the first season of Veronica Mars doesn't completely change your opinion on that, than no offense Groucho, but you're just hopeless.

Super X 11-24-07 08:09 AM

I'm assuming December will mark the final new episodes of most of the major network series. In which case, my TV viewing will become:

Life on Mars (series 2)
Torchwood (series 2 starting January on BBC America)
Monk (the remainder of the current season, starting in January)
Psych (the remainder of the current season, starting in January)
Stargate Atlantis (unaffected by the strike)

mdc3000 11-24-07 10:01 AM

I am going to rewatch series I own on DVD from the start... stuff that I've wanted to watch again in their entirety - Friends, The OC, Seinfeld, Arrested Development, Angel and The Shield to start.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:59 PM.
