Which is why my comments have always been about "Elle" and not the actress portraying her. The character, to me, is ultra-annoying. I've said nothing about the actress.

He can fly. He liked her. He's a voyeur. Put all that together and he's gonna spy on her.

With two episodes left-

I arm dying to know what Mrs. Petrelli's mutant power is. <------Superhuman bitchyness, I suspect.

Somehow, Monica, the mascara twins, Sylar, the new chick in the photo and Ma Patrelli's mystery power are going to factor.

That's a lot of fricken ground to cover!...

orderandlaw 11-21-07 05:14 PM

Maybe they can dissolve into the final scene in Grease. Musical whackyness at the carnival, with Peter and Kaitlyn flying off into the clouds behind the wheel of Greezed Lightnin'...

One thing I don't thing has been touched on yet...is Adam still in Bob's cell being held for some 30 years (before Peter broke him out) at the time he was allegedly killed Mr. Sulu (and others)? Does that mean there is another helping him that we don't know about yet? Perhaps the last woman in the picture?

No, she just has that "help me get away from this stalker" look.... ;)

They have shown her power numerous times.

Adam and Peter escaped shortly before the first episode of the season -- which is why Peter's status quo as of the first episode was that he was locked in the cargo container with amnesia. That also means that Adam was free to kill Mr. Nakamura.

You're not meant to like her - at least at first.

Also if you watch the video Commentary on the website for this episode, which features Kristen, they mention how she was raised and acts childlike and "whiny" because of it. For me, I think their intent came across clearly without extra explanation needed.

Yup. And just to hit the viewer over the head with a 500 pound sledgehammer with Elle being the contrast to Claire, they even do the ol' "Look at each other while they cross paths physically while their dads are there".

mndtrp 11-25-07 06:33 AM

I hope Noah had the ending planned out, since it was pretty dense of him to let Elle walk across the parking lot like he did. At the very least, I would have expected them to be down at the water line. It doesn't take a genius to see the way it played out coming.

i rewatched the second half of season 1 on mojo yesterday (didnt want to work around the house), and she certainly didnt do a very good job of persuading Claire to go to France, or Nathan to not help stop Peter.

I think she needs to be in physical contact with a person. I like how she touched Nathan's wife at the hospital.

Her husband had to be putty in her hands.

Or for Parkman not to take her secrets.

Did she touch Parkman? I didn't notice it, and I wouldn't think that appropriate in the context of a policeman dealing with a suspect.

Afterall, he's apparently out to take them all down - not just Hiro's dad.

I was thinking this too. Especially when Hiro's spying on his father, and he says something about how many people have they killed. I think the old set of heroes did some pretty bad things.

fumanstan 11-25-07 08:58 PM

Or Adam had no idea that Hiro was related to Kaito.

I thought she did but can't be sure. Either way, for as much as she was trying to prevent him from getting into her head, I can't imagine she wouldn't at least try to stop him if that really is her power.
