Play 16 Tuesday, November 13, 9pm et/pt Spoiler:
<hr> I'm almost caught up on this. I'll be seeing "Five Brothers" and this episode this week. A pretty good season so far but I'm still a bit mad that they shuffled off the CIA plotline so quickly. |
Can't wait to see this. Five brothers was awesome. I'm glad they got away from the CIA plotline. Kinda reminds me of when the A-team got caught and "shot" in execution.
I'll take my meat and potatoes missions each week, thanks. :) |
I didn't realize this was a direct continuation of last week.
This show is really hitting a new gear this year. This was a very well done show. |
Probably one of the better television episodes I can remember in recent memory. I don't know if that's saying too much but I thought it was very good.

Great episodoe.
Did anyone notice that Hector was not walking with the other 4 at the end of the opening credits this week? I don't have any of the old ones on my TIVO anymore, but where was he walking in relationship to the others? |

This show is becoming one of my favorites. Tonights episode was very good to the point I think they may have been taking a risk showing all that though it was touching. I don't think many like seeing stuff like that though they will watch a body getting cut up on CSI.
|
I don't say this very often but I thought that this episode was a very powerful hour of TV. So many times we see military shows/movies where someone dies, even a more prominent character and that's it, things move on. To show the step by step process of what happens after, how it effects the lives of all the members of the unit and their families, and especially at the end when Colonel Ryan puts the bullet in the box, showing us how many men he's lost in the line of duty, puts things in perspective.
I guess this explains why they changed the credits this season. Easier to remove someone's presence from a montage of clips like that. |
I'll admit it, the roll-call at the funeral had me tearing up. I'm such an effing wuss...
What I like about this show is that it's not politically preachy. Either way. Both the libs and cons have good guys and assholes. It's all about the men and their dedication to their jobs, their country and, most importantly, their brothers. |
"he may have winged your ear, but I'll break your jaw!"
:) Edit: oh, and I so called the Tiffy/Mac thing last week. Spoiler:
The previews for the next episode weren't that detailed, seems like they were showing clips from the rest of the season. |
Yeah, that ending role call had me in tears and gave me a lump in my throat.
And regarding the previews: Spoiler:

Great, great episode.
I just saw "Five Brothers" right before this and I totally thought Betty Blue was going to bite it. |
Superb episode, perfectly done.
I can't figure out what to think about Ryan though. It's very hard to reconcile is strict code of honor--and he's clearly an honorable guy--with this STILL ongoing affair with one of his own men's wife. It stopped while he was married but apparently now it's picked right back up. Cheating is bad enough, but w/the wife of a man in your command makes it a lot worse. |

I, too, like his complexity, but I'm having a hard time reconciling his strong code of ethics with the secret affair, mainly because it's with the wife of one of his own guys. He's a great actor and his character is great too, but still... |
Yeah, I wish his character were more like the T-1000 ;)
