LOST minisodes starting today 11/12/07
Just a quick FYI:
LOST: Missing Pieces, a 13 minisode series started today, and will have a new minisode every monday. I haven't watched it yet, but didn't see a thread.

Interesting mini-episode. Seemed more like a deleted flashback scene.

I had forgotten about these, watched the other 3 now. Most seem like deleted scenes from previous seasons, the most interesting one was "King of the Castle" and the talk of never wanting to come back to the island. Clearly future Jack wants to find the island again (as seen in the S3 finale). Could this clip actually be a flashback of future Jack from the upcoming season?

About Lost: Missing Pieces
Lost: Missing Pieces are 13 two- to three-minute stories of compelling, new, never-before-seen moments from the hit television show LOST. These newly-created scenes (not deleted scenes from previous episodes) reveal answers and new details about your favorite characters. For each story, we leave it up to the fans to figure out where these pieces fit into the overall mythology. The new stories are from the same creative team responsible for the series and feature the show's main actors in stories that have all the compelling values that make LOST one of the most popular dramas on television around the world.

The best ones so far have been the Ben/Jack one and the Jack/Juliet one. Frogurt and Jack/Daddy ones were OK, but hardly vital missing pieces. The Michael/Juliet one was interesting.

I thought today's was a key segment. It was really good to see this played out, although we already knew the end result of it.

You know I want to like these little mini-episodes. However, not knowing when these were filmed, I'm wondering if producing these 13 mini-episodes took away from the production time of the 16 episodes that were suppose to be made. Hence only 8 episodes were completed. Hell, they have been shooting since late summer. I wonder if they could have completed 2 or 3 more episodes without doing these vignettes.
I know the producers were probably contractually obligated to do these for the cell phones and ABC.com. But, I remember when 24 started doing the exclusive prequels for the DVD's and one of the producers said they were a pain in the ass to do and took away from their production time.

The Walt mobisode was the best one yet. I had begun to thought they were going to let his story fly a little under the radar and give a half-assed explanation, but it looks like they're going to take it pretty seriously!
