Yeah, the better setup for that scene would have been to have Jessica behind DL when the gun was pulled. Either phase and she dies, or take the bullet himself.

DL's death didn't bother me at all. I know that I would be able to react faster to a punch (that he obviously saw coming) than to a gun (which he did not anticipate at all.)
I think it was an attempt to show that the heroes are still vulnerable.

Sure it did, it showed why Jessica/Nicki needed to go back to the company for help... Did they need to use him? Probably not. But there was a purpose for it.

I agree with what someone said earlier... this show makes it hard to tell if something is a genuine plot point or just sloppy writing. When bald alchemy guy mentioned last week that they had to imprison Adam and throw away the key, that would have seemed to indicate that they locked him up underground or something... not in an open cell, placing him right next to a confused and powerful Peter. If it wasn't sloppy writing, it would seem to indicate that they were in on it together to trick Peter into trusting Adam, and even though Adam is really working with the company, giving Peter some sinister organization to fight against to get him to do what Adam wants and "save the world."
We saw last week that the threat to the Company actual turned Mohinder around and got him to trust them... the same with Nathan. Was the threat also fabricated, using Parkman's father as a pawn? This also got Mohnder to use the virus on Nikki.
The Haitian wipes Peter's memory, but then puts his own necklace on him and leaves him with all of his possessions, including ID, a plane ticket, etc. It was either sloppy writing, or the Haitian is in on it. How and why did he leave the company and go rogue anyway? Didn't take Elle and the company long to find him either.

So the Haitian cancels others' powers and Peter absorbs others' powers.
And then we get the chicken and the egg scenario.
But... BUT... what if Peter absorbed the Haitian's power and used it at exactly the same time as him... Would they cancel each other out? Would they explode?
This episode had good moments. I want Hiro back with Ando and back in America. Or are they done for now?
Also, my guess is that Sylar may end up with Maya's power and Peter with her brother's, thus bringing about a similarly climactic showdown at the end of the season.

A climactic showdown to see whose eyes can get more black and teary?

I think the Haitian's power has something to do with the mind, and he can temporarily block people's access to their powers in their brain (this would fit in with his mind wiping abilities), so he has to consciously do it, he's not some kind of power drainer like Leech. Therefore, even if Peter had his power (which he probably does), the first one to use it should win.

1) If Peter wasn't so dumb, he would've looked in the box pretty quickly and picked together the pieces of who he was. I mean, he left his ID in there!
2) He handcuffed him to a container being shipped overseas. Good thing he was apparently able to eat the ipods to survive
3) How in the world would he start a new life when someone's going to find him handcuffed in a container? Good thing he was found by thugs and not by some normal person who would turn him into the police.
4) If he wanted to get him away from the Company and presumably from Adam (if he wanted him just away from the company he could have just let him escape) why not hide him and tell him the truth later so that he's not so gullible?
Don't get me wrong, I liked the past few episodes much more than the first few, and I'm looking forward to the rest.

Leonard Roberts describing his time on Heroes. Let's just say he and Ali Larter probably aren't exchanging Christmas cards....

Interesting read. Sounds like he just got screwed from the outset and things never improved and the showrunners let a diva determine his fate on the show. Hindsight being 20/20 he has to know that Heroes went to shit after season 1 anyway so other than a steady paycheck, he didn't really miss out on much.

So, now she responds even though they reached out for comment for the article:
Ali Larter is speaking out after unflattering accusations from her Heroes co-star Leonard Roberts came to light.
“I am deeply saddened to hear about Leonard Roberts’ experience on Heroes and I am heartbroken reading his perception of our relationship, which absolutely doesn’t match my memory nor experience on the show,” the actress says in a statement to TVLine. “I respect Leonard as an artist and I applaud him or anyone using their voice and platform. I am truly sorry for any role I may have played in his painful experience during that time and I wish him and his family the very best.”

It's been a while since I watched this show, and while I like Leonard Roberts in other things, I didn't on Heroes and was glad they got rid of him. I think it's just sour grapes.

I don't know if his accounts of his being fired are correct, but their definitely was no chemistry between the two characters, so ending that relationship was necessary. They could have split up the couple, but to be honest his character on the show just didn't work, which is probably the writers fault, but creativly it was correct to kill of the character.

If he accused the showrunners as racist too he would be wrong since that was one of the most diverse casts in TV history.
Ali Larter could not be a racist if she did this movie
