Watcha Gonna Do While The Strike Is On

Fortunately there is enough entertainment in my house where I will never be bored during this strike. I got about 30-40 hours of DVR backlog, tons of DVD's and Netflix movies coming in as well. Plus, I have a few X-Box 360 games I can spend a few hours a day playing as well.
It still sucks that all my favorite programming will be cut short this season, but I guess I can treat this as another summer season.

I'll also probably masterbate more often.

24 - season 5
Forever Knight - seasons 1-3
Kung Fu - seasons 2 & 3 (currently watching season 2)
Lost - season 2
Monk - season 4
Newsradio - season 5
The Office - seasons 1 & 2
Oz - seasons 2-6
Scrubs - season 5
Stargate SG-1 - seasons 5-10 (currently watching season 5)
Supernatural - season 2
And if I somehow manage to get through all that, I can buy season 6 of 24 in December, season 3 of Lost in December, season 5 of Monk, season 3 of The Office & Stargate Atlantis. I have more than enough TV on DVD to last me for quite some time. And if that runs out, there's still more I'd like to get and plenty I'd love to go back and revisit (Homicide, Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5, etc). So I say let them strike. I could use the free time.

I think it's obvious once the WGA drags out we'll all be going through our big stack of unwatched DVD movies and TV shows. And probably end up watching more sporting events on TV, too (don't be surprised that ESPN and ESPN2 ratings go up).

Catch up on ignored shows like Cane, Dirty Sexy Money and Greys Anatomy.
Lots of History Channel & Discovery HD.
This is serious stuff. You have to have a battle plan to conquer the withdrawal symptoms.

Too many entertainment options these days, already mentioned, to even care about the strike. I'm actually looking forward to the free time. I just hope a long strike doesn't end up killing off some of my favorites (Pushing Daisies, Scrubs' final season, etc.) for good.
