This one had 3 strong storylines instead of the usual 2, and the wifey stuff was kept to a minimum (which is a good thing, imo). Not sure if I fully understood the prisoner outcome...was that really his daughter? Tiffy and Ryan didn't waste any time. Wonder if Hector is gonna keep the secret?

I think that was his daughter and that you essentially had the prisoner, the daughter, and the military conspiring against the Department of Justice, Department of State, and his home country. The military was concerned about what the home country would get out of interrogating him, and he and his family would rather see him die quickly than suffer through torture.

That was my read on it, but they definitely didn't lay it out for us.

ah, I didn't know they planned to torture him, his death makes much more sense now.

Wonder if they had anyone in mind when creating that singer - Kelly Clarkson's evil twin?

Nowhere in the episode did they say anything about torture. I'm just reading that into the fact that the foreign government was demanding him for "trial" but everybody knew he was going to be killed in relatively short order after being turned over. That seems to be the sort of situation where I'd imagine that government would resort to torture.

A quick read at TV.com shows that Mikalah Gordon, who played the singer, was on American Idol during the fourth season.

And wow, was she annoying as ****.

Why couldn't she have caught one in the neck?

Good episode otherwise.

I don't watch American Idol, but I thought she looked familiar. It seems that her singing was live which is always refreshing. It looks like she got a shot of calogen (sp??) in her lips.

I thought she looked fugly, but that's just me.

I'm reading the reviews at tv.com, one comment was that it probably wasn't the daughter but a mole the military sent in.

I'm surprised Hector was able to keep a straight face at the end - just a serious disappointed look. That's good acting there, I'd have just giggled first then break out laughing.

Does anyone have the episode recorded? I would like to review the wrap-up conversation between Ryan and Bob; that would help figure it out. If she was a mole (and not his real daughter), how did they get the prisoner to play along? Was he really crazy? Maybe when they were speaking in non-English, she was able to clue him in on the plot? Or maybe he was aware of the whole thing even before he left prison? So it would have required 4 (Bob, the girl, the girl's husband, the prisoner) conspirators.
