I'm looking forward ot seeing if they can improve the show this season. Count me in as another that thought S4 was weak as shit. Poor, unbelieveable writing (even for this show) and inane plotlines made it a stinker for me. I hope this season can return some of the luster the first 2 phenomenal seasons had.

I'm really looking forward to this show's return. The reviews have been terrific -- that it's gotten a great makeover and it's funnier. I've loved the various TV ads for it, especially the one where Christian and Sean come up over the hill and see the line of "angels".

I have to admit that I sort of lost track of Nip/Tuck after the second season. I saw a few 3rd Season eps, but, that was it. I am now watching this new season premiere, and I'm really enjoying it!

Bradley Cooper was killing me. Fun stuff in the premiere. Plus, who knew Sean had a good jump shot? Though I can't imagine surgeons playing basketball since it's pretty easy to jam your fingers while playing basketball. The upcoming sneak peak looks like a gas.

Enjoyed this a lot. I love how Sean is getting more attention now.
Previews look great too.
Just in case:
I love how this show is ratcheting up the self-aware stuff, talking about Hearts N' Scalpels being a soap opera.

Well this is going to be one great season. I love the flip in circumstances they made with Sean and Christian. It's perfect given the coast swap and why Sean left in the first place.
The previews make it seem like this season will be as over the top as S1 and that's fine by me.

So for those that have seen this... is it necessary to watch earlier seasons (I've seen 1 and 2) to understand what's happening in season 5 or is it a fresh start? I have it recorded on my Tivo so I'm just waiting for confirmation.
