I was disappointed that Todd's plan fell through, though. See, now THAT is a good plan to get your numbers and to make a power swing. Too bad it happened when the other tribe decided that they actually needed to win this one.

I really like Todd. Courtney is so immature, she makes me want to beat her over the head with a stick. I do wish they could have gotten rid of Jean-Robert there, he's god-awful annoying.

zuffy 10-26-07 10:10 AM

No way, Courtney and Sherea are way more annoying than Jean-Robert.

Winky 10-26-07 08:58 PM

I don't understand why Todd and Amanda did not keep the HII for themselves instead of giving to James. When James was on their tribe, he was close only to JR. Instead of giving the HII, Todd could have rallied his original tribe members to throw the competition to get rid of Sherea or Frosti, and still have the same effect of keeping the HII for himself and Amanda and not disclose it to anyone. The HII really plays a big role when the tribes get merged and the sub-alliances start forming. Now after the merger, with James strength and the HII, he will be untouchable.

If he really wanted to help James, he could have also asked James to go back to his new camp, and get the HII there because the HII were hidden at the same location for both the camps.

Todd didn't give James the immunity idol. He told James to get the one in his camp. Todd just told everyone that he gave it to James because he's a sneaky son of a bitch.

This is turning out to be a good season. I really like Todd a lot and hope he wins it. Just saw the ratings and this show is amazingly still doing great. Almost 15 million viewers. Wonder if CBS will ever pull the plug.

SpaceBoy 10-26-07 11:10 PM

I'm assuming from the previews James grabs the idol, and those guys find it on his stuff later on.. I mean how else could he not have picked it up before those guys...

Indeed, one bitch down, one to go.

Jean-Robert isn’t annoying at all anymore and Courtney saying all those things to Jeff about him at tribal council and her making fun of him for him saying he’s a “Bad Boy”, really shows that she’s just a B.I.T.C.H. and for someone who weighs 2 pounds and looks absolutely disgusting; she’s definitely got no business judging somebody.

I’m another who’s really liking Todd; he’s an extremely smart player and I liked the part where James slapped him on the shoulder and he almost knocked him right over, “You almost killed me, James!”

Sherea saying she’s way a really big threat after she got voted off had me rolling. She’s definitely full of herself and I bet she looks down on the kids she’s teaching in the school she works at.

Not with those #'s and it continually winning its time period. If it drops below 12 million, then we will have to worry about it. It's a good leadin for CSI which has been around just as long.

Another vote for Todd being a very smart and likeable player. Him and Amanda make a pretty good pair and could go far

He reminds me of Yul from 2 season ago. Right of the bat they both serveyed their tribes and made alliances with whom they could trust and started planning each move down the road sort of like a chess match

I like players who actually think for themselves of how to win strategically week to week and not jusy by riding somebody else coat tails or do well in challenges

PS. Sherea was also a classless BITCH on her way out. I'm sure the parents of her elemetary students must be very proud they're being taught by an upstanding teacher

das Monkey 10-27-07 02:42 PM

Todd's not as smart as he thinks he is (Amanda seems to have a better grasp of what's going on), but I still like him.

What is up with black women with attitude on Survivor?

As bogus as the tribe switch was, it has made things more interesting. I also am rooting for Courtney to follow Sherea out the door.

It's the "Amarosa" syndrome. It affects ALL reality shows :D

no, i'm pretty sure he did. Todd didn't know for sure that the other camp had the same idol.

if you still have it on TiVo or something, watch when james rejoins his tribe at the immunity challenge. it definitely looks like he has something hidden under his coat.

as for Erik and the idol next week: The follwing is just speculation, but it is based on the previews, so i spoilerized it just in case.

Spoiler:
they showed a cut of the idol Erik was holding. it DID NOT have the detailed bats carved around it. i think james may either:

a) pull down both carved pieces, and leave the wrong one (without the detailed bats) lying around, or show it to Jamie and Erik to make them think it's the idol - but i don't know if James is that smart.

b) pulled down the wrong carved piece, and screwed himself if he uses it.

Spoiler:
Didnt the immunity idol identify itself as such on the back? The one Eric was questioning didnt have the writing on the back saying it WAS the immunity idol. For some reason I think they have the wrong one, but it may be different at the other camp.

He reminds me of Rafe (and not because he's a gay Mormon). He found himself a power player to use as a scapegoat (Stephenie in Guatemala and Aaron in China) and was going to use that goat to make all the crazy moves a person has to make to win if they're going to be a player.

The problem I see for Todd is that Aaron is gone now, so Todd suddenly moves into the Stephenie position. Amanda now moves into the Rafe position where she can direct everything but not take all the heat and be hated by the entire jury.

It'll be interesting to see how things go and whether or not someone will take over the Danni position that Amanda used to occupy.

yes, you're right.
Spoiler:
so they definitely have the wrong one. but did James trick them, or actually pull down the wrong one? i'm leaning toward the former, and if so, kudos to james! Should be interesting.

Nothing would make me happier than seeing James get BOTH of the idols. I've watched every season of Survivor and James is easily my second favorite participant so far, just behind Yul and just ahead of Gary.

Yeah, for a moment I thought they figured they didn't need to because the other tribe was going to throw the challenge anyway, but that was before they knew. Of course Courtney probably couldn't have carried those oh-so-heavy puzzle pieces.

davidh777 10-28-07 02:53 PM

Sad thing is if there is a merge, Courtney will probably stay around since she won't be considered a threat. She's one reason to be glad Survivor isn't in HD.

The irony of her being in an eating competition rotfl

the action 10-28-07 06:53 PM

What was up with the lunch lady screaming at the eating competition...I laughed so hard milk almost came out of my nose, good thing I have Tivo, so I got to laugh at it twenty more times. Then the thing she ate had guts explode out of it and she put it down, it reminded me of a dog attacking a cactus. Lunch Lady rules! If only Chasity Bono needed a stunt double...

sven 10-28-07 11:07 PM

She was just trying to psych herself up to eat that nasty shit. Obviously it didnt work.

Patman 10-28-07 11:12 PM

I don't think I could eat any of the items from the food challenge.

ringside 10-29-07 12:07 AM

I was surprised that James went ahead and ate his, giving his "team" a point.

Patman 10-29-07 08:10 AM

What James did was merciful because he gave his friend, Denise, a chance to finish the chicken fetuses ahead of him, but when it was apparent that she couldn't get the chicken fetuses down her throat, that's when James said "I got it" and proceeded to finish the delicacy.
