So, how can IMDB's [sarcasm]wonderful[/sarcasm] rating system have this episode with 12 votes and an average of 3.9/10?
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1031345/
Doesn't matter ... I am always stoked for FNL.
I wonder if the Dillon Panthers could beat Notre Dame?

Hmmm... because only 12 people bother to vote?
(that would include me!)

Riggins was killing me in this episode. His passion play for Lyla, and car ride with Buddy, and the impending "Riggins and Street go to Mexico" escapade.
McGregor's a big ol' a-hole for what he called Street.
Julie needs some sense slapped into her, but wasnt' expecting it so literally.
I enjoyed Smash and Matt's scrap after the game, plus it gave the caregiver some bruises to work over for Matt, and if you asked Matt about Julie during that bit of physical therapy, he'd say "Julie who?"
Eric wasn't feeling it for the cut-throat nature of college football (when given the task of cutting players). His displeasure over hearing another guy helping out with household repairs was good for a laugh.

It'd be nice if that and her Dad coming back to town would help her get her head on straight. But I doubt that, at least not right away. (Though I'm guessing we might get an "accidental" discovery by Julie of Matt and the nurse lady doing something.)

I have a question: How is it that Coach is able to come home on the weekends during football season?
Correct me if I'm wrong.. but don't most college's play on the weekend? Travel?

I noticed that as well too. Hard to believe that high school season starts before college football season.

Okay.. yes, they are still cutting players... but still... it's what? A week or so before the first game and he's able to leave for a couple of days?
School definitely started in the last episode, so I guess in this school, the season starts after school starts.
Oh, and we now know that at least Smash is DEFINITELY a senior this year.

Riggins was definitely pissing me off this episode... By the point that he was walking into the church, I was really frustrated. I don't mind in the least Lyla being devout, but to have another character follow the same trajectory...
And the Street/Riggins Mexico adventure does not make me happy either. Street seems like a smart guy, so why's he going in for this?!?
I also liked seeing Julie get slapped, but I was also really happy to see Tami's remorse over it.
I'm so happy Coach will be back in Dillon... Next week should be good as the shift takes place.
