The Price is Right with Drew Carey

Haven't seen a new thread on this yet but it just started this week. I haven't had the chance to watch yet, but just wondering what those that did thought of it.

I saw a little the other day and I didn't like it. Sorry, but Bob Barker IS The Price is Right. Without him the price is wrong, bitch. Seriously, though, it feels awkward. Like someone is filling in for Bob and doesn't know the gig, but I realize Carey just got into it so it'll be a while before he's totally comfortable. Either way I'm done with the show.

In all seriousness, if it doesn't work out with Drew by the end of this season, they need to bring in Joe Pasquale of the UK version to host the US version. He's the current host of the UK version and has made that successful, so you'd not only have somebody who's fit for the job, but they have already proven themselves worthy to host the show for the long haul.

Hell, I mean they even manage to have a set that looks like it was made in the last 10 years and it seems to work just fine.

I really like the second part...they play Plinko and the audience does NOT react like it's the second coming of Christ. It's so refreshing to see that.

I think he did ok in what I saw today
no one can truly replace Bob

It takes a while to get used to.
If JAMES BOND and Johnny Carson be replaced with success so can a game show host.

There's those who will debate you on the choices for James Bond replacements and Carson's replacements.

But I get what you say...Drew just needs to find a way to make the show his own while still honoring Bob Barker. It's a balancing act and will take some time.

I agree...Friday's episode was the best of the week, IMO.

People always debate about everything nobody's ever 100% in favor of one thing as the internet threads have proved. But the Bond movies & Jay Leno numbers have proved the majority of people have love the new versions as the original.

It's contestants like that that really, really make me truly loathe Plinko at this point. I will admit it was cool how she came away with 20K, but she was about to piss herself the entire time. It's just a GAME, and it's not even one of the highest paying out games you see on the show. If somebody ends in Showcase showdown as the top winner because they played Plinko, it's likely because the other contestant lost at their game.

Yes, they do.

How is Drew doing in the ratings?
