According to the commercials, I would suspect that the rest of Bon Jovi is there too... maybe they'll perform as well.

Jon Bon Jovi

Foo Fighters

Bon Jovi :up: and a !

I don't know, both guests make me want to skip this one. But I'll probably watch anyway.

:yack:

I have to second the  for the Foos.

However, i'm not expecting much from BJ. Especially after he was on Conan talking about how most of the skits will be 80's related. He also mentioned how they didn't use any of his suggestions for skits..

MechanicalMan 10-13-07 08:18 PM

Bon Jovi makes me want to retch, but at least he's not the musical guest.

His suggestions didn't sound bad either. I am recording this, so I wonder how much i'll end up using the FF button? Might get it done in record time.

JBJ has proved himself a competent actor and generally charismatic guy. I guess it's too much to hope they find a way to harness this into a decent episode?

das

I usually don't either, but they usually turn out A-OK [/immature comment]

mdc3000 10-13-07 10:05 PM

I'm not holding out hope for this one, but Foo Fighters are my favourite band, so I can't fucking wait to see them (probably doing 'The Pretender' and 'Long Road to Ruin')

With so many more Competent actors out there.
I guess some may feel they would rather have
another.

Bottom line..JBJ is a Very bad choice,
for the early start of any SNL season.

Rogue588 10-13-07 10:35 PM

Well, I think i've figured out why I hate Poehler so much..

Captain Freeze 10-13-07 10:40 PM

the monologue was funny...unintentionally....

Nabalab 10-13-07 10:40 PM

Yeah, they dropped the ball with the open - I guess I was just expecting......better (and funnier).

I guess Richie got nervous that he couldn't remember his 2nd line. Nice how Jon bailed him out though.

invisiblegt 10-13-07 10:51 PM

Brian Williams the cornerback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, or Brian Williams the host of "The Nightly News..."?

I would assume the latter, but with Saturday Night Live as of late, I would not be surprised in the least were it the former.

cornflakeguy 10-13-07 10:58 PM

Al Gore skit was painfully long.

Wiig was hot as the NJ bitch.

Amy Pohler was cute with the 80's hair.

Re: Andy Samberg. Seriously.....does anyone find him the slightest bit funny? Man, I absolutely hate the guy.

I do. I loved Hot Rod and the Digital Shorts are usually the only thing I can tolerate on SNL, the punching people one was OK but was waaaaay better than anything else on the show so far.

I liked Lazy Sunday, The Shooting, and Dick in a Box. Frequently, the digital shorts are better than most of what is on the show.

astrochimp 10-13-07 11:32 PM

I timed that good.Tuned in just in time to see the Foos rock the joint :D

MechanicalMan 10-13-07 11:56 PM

I can't believe Bon Jovi is playing two songs. What a sham.

Rogue588 10-13-07 11:59 PM

Amen! What's up with that shit? -ohbfrank-

The writers didn't feel like working much this past week.

cornflakeguy 10-14-07 12:07 AM

Andy Samberg is the BEST thing they have going right now.

I did like that the opening sketch was NOT political.

Yeah, but they could've let the Foos do TWO songs. There were more than a few skits that could've been cut. Actually, they could've skipped WU. :yack:

MechanicalMan 10-14-07 12:14 AM

I liked them mocking NBC for airing unwatchable Notre Dame football games. The Bjork and Barkley thing cracked me up for some reason. It was ok overall, but I had to switch over to the ALCS game during those awful Bon Jovi songs. There should never be three musical performances on SNL, and especially not if two of them are going to be by Bon Jovi.

I could not disagree more.
