I thought the opening scene was the best of the hour...Andy: "OH COME ON!!" when the square just missed the corner, and all their comments, including Kevin's "That was awesome" timed just perfectly. Genius.

Also, I think it was in the first half, there was a scene with Ryan just babbling on and on to the camera.

It seemed to me B.J. Novak was trying to act coked up.

When Jim signed Meredith's cast, my wife swears he signed it as "John Krasinski".

I also think a thread title change is appropriate.

I think it was a parody of the young executive who can't manage, but instead blurts out a bunch of catch phrases in an attempt to appear competent.

Ding ding ding.

He had all the great marketing buzzwords from 5 years ago at the tip of his tongue. I love that they have just made him a complete douchebag.

Me too! I just wasn't sure what the song was going to be. Too funny! Take A Chance On Me

I thought it was good to see Ryan get busted while weaseling into the corner office.

Angela was particularly hot in this episode. I love the little smiles she gives while avoiding looking at the camera.

HATED the pizza guy hostage business. It could've been okay if it was a lot shorter, or handled differently.

"Oh no. It's bad. It's reeeeeal bad. It's like eating a hot circle of garbage."

It wasn't the phrases, it was the way he was saying them: with a goofy ass grin on his face, wide eyes, without any pauses and just visually communicating an intense belief in their importance.

That's what I read into it anyway...

But then, I'm looking for things to interest me. I still watch it and find a lot of the jokes funny, but I really don't give two shits about any of the characters, with a particularly low tolerance for Steve Carrell's buffoonery.

I thought it was a pretty good episode from start to finish. Kevin was definitely on fire in this episode. One qualm, though...I'm not even sure why anyone thought the Meredith cast-gag was realistic. If she had a broken pelvis I'm pretty sure a cast isn't going to stop it. Am I reading too much into this?

Also, I've done the same thing with the DVD square. That was awesome.

This new season has dragged a lot, but I do like the increased focus on Angela. She really nails that part.

Even Andy is tolerable when dropped into an Angela sub-plot! Michael's nicknames for her were funny as well (unlike anything else he did).

Thought it was great. But Kelly with the pizza on the TV was phenomenal.

Physical comedy usually doesn't impress me unless it is really good, but I thought Andy's dancing was hilarious.

Watching what this show has become proves more and more how much a genius Ricky Gervais was for cutting the British Office off after 14 episodes. I watched the whole British series again last weekend and less was definitely more for this show.

The show never ran into competely contrived plotlines like the pizza boy hostage. And the main office romance never got boring like Jim and Pam have already become.

The characters are still great but the plots seem like they're just crazy time fillers for Michael to go apeshit.

This show has jumped the shark for me.

Probably so they can auction it of for something.

I was left with the uncomfortable thought of "How does she go to the bathroom with that thing on?"

The stinger at the very end before the credits, where he just walks up to the webcam, winks and smiles like a douchebag had me on the floor.

At 9 p.m., CBS' "CSI" (12.3/19) held onto its overall title, but ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," 12.1/18, narrowed the gap from last week. NBC moved up to third with "The Office," 5.2/8. "Don't Forget the Lyrics" kept FOX ahead of The CW's "Supernatural," 2.0/3.

Outside of the hostage thing, this was a pretty good episode. But the pizza delivery kid was pretty funny ("Yeah, I know him. He's that farmer that grows really crappy weed." )

So far this season, I don't like the way Michael's being written. It's like they're taking the way he behaved at Phyllis's wedding and making that the "new" Michael. He's always been a douche OR a moron, but now he's constantly being a douche AND a moron. It just doesn't fit with his original "I want everyone to be my friend (except for Toby)" way of life. Michael's quickly become my least-favorite character and really the only character of the show that I can't stand.

What are you talking about? It was his acapella group. All the people from the office were just standing there watching him.
