House - "97 Seconds" - 10/09/07

"97 Seconds"
Spoiler:
House splits final 10 fellowship candidates into two teams, for some healthy competition. They are assigned to diagnose and treat a wheelchair-bound man with muscular atrophy, who is slowly suffocating. As the two teams are trying to one-up each other, complications arise when one team treats the patient, but doesn't follow through to make sure their treatment was executed. While the students are busy with their assignment, House experiments on himself to see what happens in the moments, when people hover between life and death. Meanwhile, Foreman runs his own team of fellows in his new job at another hospital, and resorts to using a very "House-like" treatment to help a patient.

The freaked out look on #13's face was sort of freaking me out, but she's very attractive, nonetheless. Loved the head tilt by House and Wilson as well.

So now that Foreman's fired from his other job already, is he coming back to House? Seems unlikely. I sort of wish House would just get a new team already (Kumar, 13, & anyone else would be fine w/me, and I like the idea of keeping Fake Doctor around.

Liked Cutthroat Bitch kissing ass to members of House's former team. Maybe too early to speculate, but I see Cameron being the first to come back on board...if the original 3 were to reunite -- though I agree Foreman would be least likely to do so..

Great episode , just a tad bit depressing towards the end.

I have to say I'm impressed with the way they've eased these new characters into the mix. I'm actually liking most of them... and often when new characters are thrust into existing shows it just doesn't feel right (Paulo & Nikki, anyone?)

How else would they have known they made a mistake if the dog didn't die?

I totally agree. Most of the new cast have been fun to watch.

I enjoy Cuddy, but I don't see how she could still have her job. I know House is...well House, but she never shuts him down anymore.

I'm confused, did 13 give the pills to the guy and he gave them to the dog to commit suicide...or...did she put them down and they fell when she wasn't paying attention and she assumed he took them...or... did she give them to the guy and the dog grabbed them off the tray or bed when she wasn't paying attention?

I also agree that the additions have been pretty good so far. To be honest, the original 3 can just do the show every other month for all I care.

House's boss is exotic and sexy as hell. I guess I'm just now reeeaaaally looking at her and realizing this.

I think she turned around for a second..and the dog swipped the pills.

She gave him the pills and he asked for water. When she turned around the guys came in and I guess in the confusion the pills fell and the patient forgot about them since the guys had taken over.

I really like seeing Forman as House. It's been obvious for years that that was going to be how he was going to turn out but it was still nice to see.

What did House mean about the fake doctor and calling Ridiculously Old Guy a fraud?

The old guy doesn't have a M.D., he just worked at a college for 30 years and was exposed to a lot of medical cases, and has a lot of real world knowledge about medicine, just isn't "certified" in the classical sense with a medical degree.

That was following the storyline last week about that doctor (he does not have a degree in medicine.)

I don't like that House kept that girl around - she's too good looking.

I don't want anyone interfering with Cuddy's screen time
