I thought this episode was pretty decent. The only thing I dont care for is the flying boy. I Think this show is gonna start picking up, 3rd episode and we finally meet up with all the characters \ Well, to put it in perspective someone here was so dissapointed in the story they wish they hadn't switched from Dancin with the Stars. Because that story is riviting... |

The flying boy storyline is a bit much, truthfully. I can't blame people for rolling their eyes, even if it's just about a half step in from that point with me. I also can't blame people for hating the wonder twins so far. I have no idea why they're hitting us with the same damned shit with them every week, but it's time to move that story forward pronto.
Everything else this week was badass if you ask me. I'm still quite enjoying the show overall. |
is it me or are the spanish siblings alittle too close... i always think that there is some incest there
|
Was the lady that Micah got left with from season 1?, she didn't ring a bell to me but the way they presented her made it seem like we should know her

you get post like this come on.....-ohbfrank- season just started.. people are already to leave Come on Last season I got hooked from the first episode to the last (although there were some complaints about plot holes, etc.) But I always looked forward to what happened next. It's the fact that last season was so interesting that makes me stick around for a while longer to hope the show can pick up again. So I am giving it a chance. |
I kind of like Claire with flyboy...
She's a cheerleader who can't cheer anymore! He's an floppy-haired emo kid who can fly! She can cut herself all she wants! They're made for each other. |
I was hoping Flyboy would have accidentally dropped Claire from a few hundred feet, and cut to his face aghast with horror as Claire peeled herself off the asphault.

Also, nice to see that it was finally proven that Candice wasn't just a shape shifter but she could make people see anything they wanted to. I caught on that last season but obviously Kring had to make that more clear for everyone. Also, I don't quite get the complaints about the season not having a goal yet... it's only been three episodes. Not only that, but while there isn't anything as obvious as the bomb from the first season, there's still the person killing off the older heroes, the series of paintings, Molly's "boogeyman" (these may or may not even be connected, for all we know), as well as all the fallout from the first season. |
I kinda liked how they reset Silar's array of powers (for now).
|
Besides, the fact that Candice could make people see anything they wanted was made clear in the graphic novel (yeah, I know) over the summer (check out "Betty", parts 1-4)

Spoiler:

Yeah, I don't get all the bitching about the season either... They are starting to string some stories together, and each episode is building nicely on the other. Oh well, different strokes.
|
I'm out when HRG dies.
|
Probably the season's best episode, but that's not saying much. The thing about Heroes is that the characters(most of them anyway) have always been pretty weak. It's the plot that made the show so interesting in Season 1.
So far in Season 2, the storylines just aren't as gripping, which is why it's suddenly a lot more glaring how awful some of these characters are. Even Parkman who I really liked last year is annoying the piss out of me. And don't get me started on the black-eyed twins! Holy Lord, I'll never badmouth Nikki and Paulo from Lost again after suffering through the EXACT SAME SCENES three weeks in a row with these two idiots. Even Hiro's subplot is getting redundant aside from the reveal of Kensei's power. I think that's the biggest problem with Season 2 so far. Very little forward progression. Hopefully the return of Sylar(who I've always found overrated, BTW) and the painting of HRG's demise cause things to pick up soon. |
Couldn't they have found an actor that could produce a convincing Irish accent? Or maybe even an Irish actor or two?
I don't give a shit if some of you are tired of a few of us bitching - it would have been nice if a few main characters had been killed off in last season's finale. The only thing I am liking so far this season is Hiro and Kensei. The rest is just blah, blah, blah - particularly the new additions from Central America. |
Definitely the best episode of the season, but some of the plots just make me roll my eyes. Peter not caring about his identity because of some stupid girl, Hiro staying in the past because of some stupid girl, and Sylar not having his powers.
Just screamed of 'We don't know where we're going!'. |
I hate to be negative, but I really feel like this season is a mess so far. In terms of narrative storytelling and exposition, nothing is really going anywhere. The producers should've pulled a Prison Break Season 2 and killed off 2/3rds of the minor characters right away so they could focus on the main ones.
And that scene with the boy lifting Claire into the sky at school was easily the gayest thing the show has ever done. |

I am bored with the Hiro storyline. I hope it ends soon. Looks like next week a lot more backstory will be revealed.
|
Some thoughts about tonight's episode.
Hiro- Damnit he needs to become a stud and be the hero! Wondertwins- I'm bored of this plotline. I liked how sylar was all badass. |
I think one of the show's biggest problems is people not using their powers just because it suits some story idea the writers have. Whenever Hiro's done with the Kensei nonsense, why wouldn't he just jump back to where he originally left from? Because then we wouldn't have the 'present time' storyline of Ando waiting for Hiro and finding those idiotic notes that have now been in the sword for 400 years. Oh, and don't forget the upcoming tearjerker where Ando has to tell Hiro that his father was killed while he was away. Why wouldn't Peter just take the box with his identity in it? Oh, because once he's 'forced' into robbing a bookie, he'll become really good buddies with the Irish criminals he's hanging out with. Stupid moments like these really hurt the characters by making them look like complete idiots and make the plot feel ridiculously contrived. I really hope the writers get their act together soon.

Wow NOBODY GOT IT...
Sylar didn't LOSE his powers, he has the VIRUS. That's why he can't use his old powers and also why he can't use the Illusion technique. Now, for everyone saying this season is boring let's see what we actually have going on: 1. Nikki and Sylar have the virus. Suresh is the only one who has the cure, so will he heal Sylar? 2. The old woman that Micah was left with... Is she one of the 9 remaining? I think she may be D.L.'s mother. 3. The painting of HRG (Noah) dead with Claire and someone else in the background. 4. Peter is afraid of who he really may be, so he doesn't want to open the box. 5. The "wonder twins". One with the power to kill, the other with the power to heal. 6. The flying boy is tagged by the organization. Is the organization watching him, and if so, will they soon find Claire? 7. Hiro & Kensei. Is Hiro creating the stories he was later told as a child or is he changing history? I think it is a paradox and he was always meant to go to the past. Something big is going to come from this storyline... The virus is going to be the catalyst for many of the events during this season. This season is just starting to get going, you just have to pay attention... The first season was the Finding of the Heroes, this season is the Saving of the Heroes. Jeremy |
Peter Story - Well done Peter, you robbed a legitimate business. How is this noble? Might as well go rob a bank next. Use your force powers to take the box back, instead of protecting a gang of thugs.
Hiro - Leap back already, or stay and become Kensi already. Like no one before Ando would have found those well hidden scrolls -ohbfrank- Niki & Pallo I'm still not familiar with how their powers work, I hope they could show us one more time -rolleyes- Claire - Let's see, your father admitted to working for some people that were out to get them, they blew up your house, your father sacrificed everything to save you and your family etc.. I would think by now you would trust your father with every aspect of your superpower life - and tell him absolutely everything ala flyboy etc. Enough with this teen angst. I watch every week because of Peter's force powers... I get all happy when Peter chokes and slams those Irish guys into the walls. |
I thought this week's ep a little more watchable than the previous ones, but not by much. I don't think what they're putting out is that horrible, it's just so derivative and contrived that it's throwing everything off.
We've seen many of these scenes before, if not this year, in the previous season. The twins stuff this ep was EXACTLY like the other two episodes. They get in trouble, she crykills some guys, he fixes her. Borrrrring. Claire doesn't trust HRG yet again...didn't we get over this last year? Yet another "serious" talk from Nikki telling the kid she has to go away for a while. What is this, like the 8th time? The Sylar stuff was interesting, even if the "in the middle of nowhere" reveal was somewhat Lost-esque. The whole Peter storyline is really dumb. Just seems like a bad way to write themselves out of the corner they're in with have an overpowered character. It's still early, so I'm hoping they can right the ship. It took Lost until like the 7th episode to get really moving last year. |
To all the hater haters :)
I''m sorry I have a different opinion than you and just can't settle for mediocracy. First of all this is not a new show, so stop giving every episode a pass saying that they are building to something. They should have hit the ground running, but seemed to have fallen on their face. I mean, three episodes in already and there is no sense of what the seasonal arc is. Come on! There is also a huge lack of focus as far as all the characters are concerned. So everything just seems boring and plodding. But, I'm sure you'll all just give it a pass anyway no matter what. And the only reason why I'm bitching is because I know they can do better, and maybe they will after all the negative feedback. Just look at what happened at the end of Lost Season 3, they listened to the fans and it got much better. |

What was the deal with the fucktard trying to steal a car right in front of a cop? I mean, he was not even 20 feet away, in broad daylight and in uniform. What lazy bullshit. This season, and this episode especially sucks, and while this show was never something high-minded, it was disposable fun that seemed to at least have some direction. Now, it seems to have no real direction, and the story seems to get advanced by contrivance and stupidity.

No complaints here. With the extraordinary array of characters in this series, I didn't expect any immediate update on them all or a plotline that involved them all at once. That's my idea of a horrible season.
I like the slow build as both old and new characters are gathered back into the weave. The real question, for me, is whether the final tapestry will have a sense of completeness to it (like last season) and without a lot of unresolved threads. Heroes, like every good series, has earned our trust ... until it abuses it. This season is far from doing so. |

Yeah that was idiotic. LOok at me. I am trying to rip off a car in the middle of the street in broad daylight. And we are suppose to be on the run!!! |
I started watching Heroes a month ago going through the entire first season in a few weeks before the premire of Season 2. Let me state I loath modern television and since the reality tv boom I have retired into old shows I grew up with and let modern television wallow in the mire it became. Until Heroes. I discovered the show via Rifftrax and was hooked form episode one. Everything clicked for me as finally there was a show bold enough to DEVELOPE itself into something great. Like a poleroid, Heroes slowly comes into focus and this is a great aspect of the show. It is a page turner and each week's cliffhanger leaves me wanting the next piece of the puzzle. After watching each season one episode I would visit the threads here and came upon a lot of nitpicky gripes from posters but nothing as silly as what has transpired with only THREE episodes into one season. In these threads I see not a problem with a show but with the television viewing public in general. We have no patience anymore. We want everything microwaved and digitaly recorded within seconds instead of cooked and developed. I'd hate to see how most of you people would have faired with Twin Peaks. Heroes is by no means perfect but it is interesting television compared to the dreak that permeates the tube on most evenings. Characters have motivation and there is a slow build. Each episode does not need to have a stunning duel of hero powers. It is just as interesting to find a daughter questioning her father who has just realized he may die by her hand then seeing Peter toss Syler into a brick wall. Sad to see so many people wanting to abandon this great show which I hope remains on the tube despite a ratings decline. To those who leave I hope you find your instant climax. I'll be having fun with the foreplay.
|
I enjoyed everything in this episode except for the Blunder Twins and the sappy flying scene.
Peter's scenes were excellent, better then Hiro's storyline this week. Peter has so many damn powers and I can't wait to see what he pulls out next. |
Why didn't Peter just take the damn box in the first place? He obviously can't be stopped by those Irish knuckleheads.
|
I interpret Paulo's power to be a sort of sin-eater - making things "right" when his sister does them wrong.
Claire and the guy from the Flys video for Got you where I want you need to leave. |
Also, did we really need to have a flashback of Hiro's time in Japan after 2 episodes? Great that Ando knows something, but that was wholly unnecessary.
|
It took 4-5 episodes before I got into it last season, so I'm not ready to write this one off. That said, so far it's been laughably bad - but in an enjoyable way at least.

I liked this episode... it was pretty much on par with every other episode of the series, absent the few exceptional ones (the "Days of Future Past" knock off being the best of the series, IMO). |
they really need to stop revealing the black teary eyes as if it's the first time we're seeing it. I can almost hear "dun dun duuuuunn" in the background.
anyway, what if peter turns to be the big bad this season? and the only one that could match-up with him is an empowered Sylar? Would Suresh help Sylar? Or will he continue playing My Two Dads with Parkman? (oh, and i expect to see at least one "with one episode, they pull me right back in!" comment this season.) |
