Sarah Wayne Callies reportedly leaves Prison Break
 

Ausiello is reporting that Sarah Wayne Callies (Dr. Sara Tancredi) won't be returning to Prison Break this season after giving birth to her 1st child.

Somehow I doubt this is 100% fact....even after Patrica Wettig and Camille Gualty left the show after the 1st season, they somehow managed to get them in the show late last season.

All the "Misa" fans are going to be hearbroken.

Interesting. She's got to be in a few shows, though. I see based on several descriptions of on the shows, she seems to be listed.

Why would this be considered a spoiler? It's been known since early this year that she was expecting her baby and she wasn't coming back to the show right away....This news just clarifies things a little more. I haven't seen the season premiere and I'm not giving away any critical plot information. As far as I know, the character of Dr. Sara Tancredi still exists in the Prison Break world.....She probably just doesn't want to return to Texas right away and work 15 hour days.

I posted the Mandy Patinkin quitting Criminal Minds story and noone was complaining about that being a spoiler.

Okay since not everyone has seen season 2, here's what happened to her:

Given the nature of the show and the past treatment of other defections, I think it would be totally okay for them to just recast the role. If they do, I hope they try extra hard to find an actress who looks nothing like Sarah.

They should just use one of the actresses who auditioned for Marisol but didn't get that part and cast her as Sarah.

Maricruz?

Camille Gualty (Maricruz) left the show after season 1 to do The Nine. I believe that summer they re-casted her with a different actress, but never used her as she became available again after The Nine got axed.

As for Sarah Wayne Callies, I think Ausiello and his moles are overanalyzing this. I think that she probably asked the producer's for an indefinite leave of absence from the show to care for her baby. I don't think she has an immediate desire to fly back to Dallas for 9 months and care for her baby while working 15-16 hour days....Good for her family always should come 1st....IMO, her character will return at some point whether it's really late this season or next season.
