Help with Veronica Mars Season 3 rape mystery SPOILER
 

I'm a bit confused with the rape arc.

I really don't remember for sure...but wasn't Logan's alibi that he and Mercer were together in Mexico, and he stuck to it because Logan was messing around with that Madison whore at that time, and didn't want Veronica to find out? So that's why he stuck to his/their story that Mercer was in Mexico with him?

Going from memory:

- It wasn't Jule Gonzalez but a different girl who was raped the night Mercer was in Mexico. And actually, she wasn't raped -- it was staged by the campus feminists to drum up more support for kicking fraternities off campus. (Which means, incidentally, that Lamb solved the case before Veronica, he just couldn't hold the culprit because Ronnie gave him an alibi.)

- Mercer taped his show even though everyone thought it was a live broadcast.

How did Mercer tape his shows ? I thought it was a call in request show ?

The taping part's easy -- you'd record it just like you would anything else (there were tape decks and later CD burners in the station for the DJs to record their shows in my college radio days) -- but with as easily visible as the station was from the food court, I'd think that'd be pretty hard to convincingly fake. I mean, it'd fool people just listening to the radio, sure, but if you're generally standing in front of people 2 hours a night every week and just aren't there the next...kinda blows the alibi. I guess it works if that area is generally locked at night.

I don't really remember some of the specifics, though, so maybe that was covered.
