I think it's more embarrassing that the employer didn't even bother to check the facts. They should have kept quiet, particularly given the popularity of the show. Why fuck up a good thing?

Really old news (November '08) but it looks like Robert got his job back. ( http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...ossible20.html )
Just saw an ad for the new season.

The only thing about Irvine was that given situations where he didn't have to cook something special/traditional, he had a stable 3 - 4 dishes that he could whip up and use every single time. If I see that salmon mousse stuffed cucumber once again...

I had read a rumor about him coming back a few months ago, and noticed the website had him pictured for the show. Yesterday was the first time I saw a commercial for the new season with Robert. Glad to see it. Loved this show with Robert, couldn't stand it with Michael Symon.

Yeah, Symon said in interviews when he was first announced that it would only be for a season and that Irvine would be back this season. Symon was good on it but Irvine made this show for me so I'm glad he's back.

Cool. Glad to hear this. Irvine really made the show.

I gave Symon at leat 3-4 episodes and had to bail. It was Irvine's show, not just a show with a random host. Plus, by the 2nd ep. I was already tired of Symon using the expression "That's Money."
This is great news! Another half hour of my life sitting in front of the TV!

Watching the ad again, I couldn't help but think of Barney Stinson's video resume from HIMYM.

Good to see Irvine's return last night (X Games challenge), although all the "extreme" talk was getting highly annoying after about 2 minutes. He was berating his assistant chef the whole episode, and he still didn't get the cake to bubble/explode.
The hour episodes are much better.

Re: Dinner Impossible on the Food Network
Did anybody watch the new episode from a week or so ago, the Sesame Street one? I was pretty surprised Chef Robert didn't seem to know that Vinegar would curdle milk. He was pretty shocked when he mixed a gallon of milk with two gallons of vinegar. Said it tasted good, but still.
