Hotel Babylon - 8/8/07 **Series Premier**

Is anybody planning on checking this out over on BBCA? I've only seen commercials and haven't actually heard anything from international viewers. It just looks like it oozes sex in a very posh way! 16 episodes appear to round out the first series and will wrap up in November.

I like the promos that I've seen on BBCA during Kitchen Nightmares. I set my DVR to record the 1st episode, so we'll see how it goes. I'm not anticipating alot of skin shown.

This is a great great show ! Really good characters. No you won't see that much skin. This show is about great characters, clever writing and pretty slick production.

Well worth checking out

I was so-so impressed with the first series, however, to be fair it was only about 8 or so episodes. I have been very impressed with the first couple odd episodes I saw of series 2. It seems like the cast is gelling more which I imagine is harder in UK series since they run so much shorter. I did skip the third episode since the description revolved around Anna and I find her dumb and grating.

I've been following the show as well, but with the Fall season going I'm a few weeks behind. I absolutely love Tamzin Outhwaite as Rebecca Mitchell. Gorgeous, sexy and cold as ice is her character.

Some bad news regarding Season 3 or Series 3 as the Brits call it:

Spoiler:
Tamzin has apparently quit the show to focus on starting a family.

i agree. she is a very strong aspect of this show. however, i find a lot of others have stepped up in s2 - even that new assistant to tony - although he's been a little scummy lately.

damn. that's very unfrotunate. seems to be a common theme over in the uk. spooks / mi-5 has had a very high cast turnover. i suppose we are lucky in the us. perhaps charlie will become the manager, but i find this especially sad given her divorce party episode.
