Any shows set in a funeral home? (other than Six Feet Under)

I just finished watching Six Feet Under, and I have a fascination for funeral homes now. Are there any other TV shows with a similar setting? It seems like there are a million cop, lawyer, and medical shows. Is another funeral home show too much to ask for?

None that I recall, which is why 6FU was such an original concept.

Family Plots on A&E. Might want to check out their website to see if the show is on dvd or if it's ever returning for another season.

I have a feeling that anything that tries to set a show in a funeral home from this point on will have a very difficult task ahead. 6FU was so brilliant and so good I'm not sure anything like that will come along for a while...

If you get desperate, you can watch "My Girl" on DVD.

Or "Kissed", for a different kind of funeral home movie.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but Howie Mandel used to have a funeral home sit-com on FOX called Good Grief. It had a kind of Get A Life vibe to it.

I've been re-watching SFU recently too... I do it maybe 2-3 times a year. What an amazing show. Up to the finale of season 4 right now.

Hmm, this should be my next HBO show to watch. I'm midway through Deadwood now...

I just started season 1 and it's really a great show. I can't believe it missed this while it was running on TV.

It would be akin to catching lightening in a bottle for a second time. The show was just too amazing, almost for its own good. Like "Buffy," "Gilmore girls," and "Sex and the City" its a series that I watched from pilot to finale and will never be able to forget.

There's a show called "Pushing Daisies" on ABC this fall - the plot is that a guy can somehow bring dead people back to life. I doubt it's set in a funeral home, but it might be I guess.

And have you seen "Dead Like Me"? Also not set in a funeral home but deals with people dying and souls being taken, kind of. And if you read and like this genre, check out the Incarnations of Immortality book series by Piers Anthony (early to late '90s, "On a Pale Horse" is the first book).

there was a short lived 1997 show on ABC called Leaving L.A. about L.A. county coroners, it starred Melina Kanakaredes, Chris Meloni, and Hilary Swank in a supporting role.

There are a fair number of set in a morgue shows if we're stretching that far. Crossing Jordan, Quincy M.E., and Tru Calling leap to mind.

Quick question about SFU - apparently S3 is starting tonight on Universal HD, but I don't remember S1 or S2 ever airing...? Did I just miss them? Or are they skipping them and starting with S3?

Really wanted to watch this from the beginning too.

It may be that the show wasn't shot in HD until S3...
