Yes! This looks like it could indeed be a quality viewing experience.

Bump
This premieres Monday at Midnight. 3 episodes will be posted.
As I said on the last page, I saw a rough cut test screening of the Pilot 8 months ago. The special effects were incomplete. So I will be watching to see how the final product looks.

This was a strangely watchable show. Great acting. So glad Lane getting more and more recognized. I loved her since Outsiders and Rumble Fish. Always loved Thirlby too and she look good. But, very good acting, everyone coalesces nicely. Lot of backstory obviously and maybe will be for more then 1 episode, but eager to see where it goes after this how it all began start.

The 1st episode was much better than the version I saw 8 months ago. It was good seeing the completed special effects.
The monkey wasn't animated in the test screening (they used animated sketches) and the house that blew up also wasn't completed either.
The ending was pretty wild with the President and all those people dropping dead. The paramedic was accidentally murdered her partner got really lucky at the timing of it when everyone started dropping dead including the cop who was outside their ambulance.

Still, I liked the first three episodes. Lane and Thirlby and "Agent 355" are all pretty good. I didn't recognize Tamblyn--had to look it up to see who was playing that character. Looks like they're writing the current political climate into this, which I could do without.

watched the first episode last night. It was entertaining. So the monkey is CGI? kind of figured it was, but it's plausible to train one to do what I've seen so far...

IF the monkey is CG its damn impressive because I never even considered that once until I read it here.

If this stays true to the book, he will continue to be an idiot for the rest of the series.

I've never read the comics so I have no clue how faithful this is to the source material, but I definitely like Agent 355, and I find Y insufferable. What a selfish little manbaby.

I am almost done with the 2nd episode and yes, this show is great. So glad they spent the time over the years this was in development to get it right or not bother going forward. I just hope it does well for Hulu so we get more seasons as I can tell from just two episodes that I am in for however long this show stays on the air.

Fuckin Yorick, he's like a puppy that can't stay still.
Episode 4 was straight Walking Dead, but pretty solid.

I'm liking the story and the show... but the guy in this is annoying as heck.
This is also on Disney+ but I'm not sure which service has better video quality.

Didnt care for the first two eps.
Feels too much like another zombie type apocalypse show and I don’t care even a little bit for that.
Generally with stories like this I’m more interested in why it happened then what happens after.
Ep 2, Sam the woman who killed the guy she was having the affair with, was in some hide out with a bunch of guys?
So they aren’t all dead, the men? I’m confused.
Amber Tamblyn is almost unrecognizable with the extra weight.

OK, I'm a moron.
I read this series from start to finish as it was published (haven't watched the show yet) and it is only this thread that made me realize that the Y in the title stands for Yorick.
I just thought it was a reference to the Y chromosome, which obviously, it is, but the dual meaning never occurred to me.
