I just don't see how they're better off without Veronica Mars. Sigh.

ChrisHicks 07-20-07 01:52 PM

now we need a thread to place bets on how long these new CW shows will last...

Bluelitespecial 07-20-07 01:54 PM

At least we have supernatural.

Yeah, but if the thread's up for a week, it'll last longer than most the shows. :P

DJariya 07-20-07 02:02 PM

As usual Smallville and Supernatural. I'll try Gossip Girl since it's from Josh Scwartz. However, it seems more geared towards the female audience.

What is Aliens In America???

huzefa 07-20-07 07:05 PM

ALIENS IN AMERICA

"Justin Tolchuk is a sensitive, lanky 16-year-old just trying to make it through the social nightmare of high school in Medora, Wisconsin, with the help of his well-meaning mom Franny, aspiring-entrepreneur dad Gary, and his popular sister Claire, who is sweetly unaware of how good-looking she is. When Franny signs up for the school's international exchange student program, she pictures an athletic, brilliant Nordic teen who will bestow instant coolness on her outsider son. However, when the Tolchuk's exchange student arrives, he turns out to be Raja Musharaff, a 16-year-old Pakistani Muslim. Despite the cultural chasm between them, Justin and Raja quickly develop an unlikely friendship that just might allow them to navigate the minefield that is contemporary high school. It's going to be a very interesting year for Raja, Justin, his family and the entire population of Medora."[1]

It sucks that I have to wait until October for Supernatural.

:yack: :yack: :suicide: The only show I might check out on the CW is Reaper, it sounds mildly intresting. It sucks that Reba got cancelled because it didn't fit the "Audience" they were looking for.

starseed1981 07-21-07 10:59 AM

I'm on board for:
Smallville (Have you seen those pics of Supergirl...drool)
Supernatural
& Gossip Girl since it's from Mr.Schwartz

critterdvd 07-21-07 09:57 PM

'Gossip Girl' will become the CWs 'Dawson's Creek'

'Reaper' could be a cult hit, but its iffy

'Life is Wild' will be gone before xmas

MasterofDVD 07-22-07 02:00 AM

I might get into watching Smallville and Supernatural again as soon as the previous season DVDs come out and I catch up. I am very curious about Reaper.

Jimmy James 07-22-07 07:27 AM

Kevin Smith gets Reaper's pilot viewed by me.

Kristen Bell does the same for Gossip Girl.

Save for Everybody Hates Chris, I'm all out of CW shows I'm committed to. Unless one of the above two shows are so strong I can forgive them for the crimes they committed against Gilmore Girls, Everwood, and Veronica Mars, I likely won't be around for more than the half hour a week Chris Rock guarantees.

comanche_doyle 07-22-07 08:57 AM

one tree hill didn't make the cut? I could have sworn it was coming back. Is it a midseason returnee?

DJariya 07-22-07 12:40 PM

One Tree Hill is indeed Mid-season.

Reaper is pretty much one of only two shows I'm REALLY interested in this Fall, the other being Pushing Daisies.

One tree hills is coming back in january, and season four will be on dvd at the end of this year or right before season five starts.

SuperBatMan 07-22-07 05:06 PM

Smallville and Supernatural for me. As well as Reaper, like others.

critterdvd 07-22-07 05:33 PM

I'll be watching 'Gossip Girl,' 'Reaper,' and 'One Tree Hill' when it returns... CW (or more approprating WB) used to be my # 1 network with Gilmore, Veronica, Everwood, Angel, Buffy, Dawson, Charmed, etc... but now its my number 3... behind FOX... thats bad, lol).

Although I enjoy 'Supernatural' but due to its time slot I'm destined to watch it soley on DVD.

Geofferson 07-22-07 05:46 PM

I'll check out Reaper and Gossip Girl.
