New statement from Ed Bernero about the Keitel rumors....Looks like Harvey is out of the mix. Supposedly episodes 1-3 are in the can and Patinkin's departure is explained in the season premiere.

There have been some rumors about Harvey Keitel
joining the show but ultimately, I don't think it's
going to work out (and if I thought it was I would
have already told you all). However, we should have
some news before the week is out about an exciting
addition to the team. When a deal is closed, you will
all be the second people I tell (after the cast and
crew of course). Love you all and again, thanks for
all the support and patience as we work through this.

Ed

So, it would appear they are doing a few episode w/o his replacement, and the new person will come in during episode 4 or later. Interesting.

I'd like to see that. Is Raines cancelled already? I tried watching 5 minutes of it and couldn't, but think Goldblum would do well in this role.

If Lance Henriksen was too old, Keitel is even older. Henriksen to me would be a good choice, but he seems to have about 9 movies coming out or about to be made so he's going to be too busy.

News!

I don't even watch this show, but apparently Mandy is coming back to film a 3-second "closure" for his character.

Mandy Patinkin, who famously quit CBS's "Criminal Minds" without notice last month, will return to the show for a single episode on October 3rd reports The IMDb.

The episode will provide "some closure" for Patinkin's character, Jason Gideon, and feature a single scene of him getting into a car and driving away.

Minds' producers were forced to use a special crew to shoot the his scene because the show's regular staff refused to be on set with him.

Patinkin already has one of the worst reps in the business for being a jackass, and this ain't gonna help.
he should stay where he's most welcome in a limited run Broadway musical...

Damn, he must be some kind of extra-special asshole to get this reaction.

They should have had him go back to his home planet, like Poochy.
