CMT's Prankville has to be the worst show ever
 

I stopped on CMT for about ten minutes and started wathcing a show called "Prankville" that was atrocious. One prank consisted of a man acciedntally letting go of someone's birthday balloons another prank consisted of a guy at a fast food resteraunt hitting on a guy's girlfriend in the drive thru. Then at the end someone comes out and says "welcome to Prankville!"

Its the same premise as the ex-MTV's "Boiling Points" - minus the whole $100 cash prize if you lasted whatever the time limit was for the prank. In fact, "Prankville" uses at least three of the same actors from that MTV show. I've seen (using their "Boiling Points" names) Rebekka (short girl who wears glasses) Billy (the overweight guy) and Eric (who looks like a wannabe rapper). I wonder if "Prankville" had to redo some of their pranks due to people noticing the actors from "Boiling Points" and asking "wheres my $100!" if they deemed that they lasted the whole prank.

I haven't seen this, but the time limit/cash thing is what made Boiling Points fun. If you're going to pull pranks on people just for the hell of it, you should get a lot more creative (a la Jamie Kennedy Experiment).

I've only seen one prank from this show. People would put their car through a car wash, then when they go to claim their car at the end, there's an old man sleeping in the back seat.

I saw this the other week. The girl with glasses mentioned above worked at a party store and people came to pick up a huge bouquet of balloons. Because the bouquet was too big to fit through the door the girl with glasses started to pop the balloons one by one.

One woman basically said to herself "screw it" and started to walk out with about ten balloons left. The glasses girl had to basically beg her to come back in to tell her she was on "prankville".

Embarrassingly horrible.

Also the blond headed girl from Boiling Points is also on the show. The only two from BP I can think of that I did not see in this episode were the Asian guy and the guy with the porn star mustache/major five o'clock shadow. The other four were there.

Worst show ever? No. Bad enough to be mentioned in the conversation of worst shows ever? Probably. I watched Boiling Points a few times, and what made it halfway decent was that some of the pranks were borderline dangerous. This one seems to play it too safe. The prank with the girls in bikinis trading places with the guys in cutoffs for the car wash had such potential, but they did nothing at all with it. It was almost like they wanted to go there, but decided to just imply it instead and then say "Welcome to Prankville." Lame.
