LOL at Sam getting slapped by Meryl, and then Sam's Shrimp Cocktail dump into the plasma.

I need to watch the first one from last night as well. Didn't really like the monkey episode as their last episode to go out on.

I'm glad this show isn't returning. It is nowhere nearly as funny as it was last season. By ditching the two female friends, the concept of Sam trying to balance a 20-something's social life from conflicting with his professional life all but evaporated. That's what was fun about the show originally IMHO. I mean the old opening with him changing clothes while driving was a lot more indicative of that season's plots while the new opening with the "Our Hero" logos was just dumb but obviously more "corporate" like the plots this season. Sam's only outside work social contact is his brother Sully... and while funny, he has mostly been reduced to a "Kramer" role.

The "series finale" was the first episode of the series I didn't like.

This show went out on a whimper.

Fuck you FOX. Fuck you.

They should have ended it with Sam making the wall in the first episode on Sunday night. The last episode was pretty silly.

I'm betting a lot of these episodes were broadcast out of production order (a la Keen Eddie) - characters that looked like regulars disappeared, and recurring characters didn't act like recurring characters. This could have been a solid show, but it never got a chance. I'll miss hot Darcy, and Mimi Rogers still turns me on (even though she's a little scary looking) and I will join in the chorus of what must be the most uttered phrase on this forum:

Fuck you Fox.

Going in order of production codes:

1 (filmed as 9th) Windows First aired: 6/10/2007 Production Code: 2AKK09
2. (filmed as 10th) The Phantom First aired: 6/10/2007 Production Code: 2AKK10
3. (filmed as 8th) Yeah, Presents First aired: 6/17/2007 Production Code: 2AKK08
4. (filmed as 5th) CSI Donut First aired: 6/17/2007 Production Code: 2AKK05
5. (filmed as 10th) The Dutch First aired: 6/24/2007 Production Code: 2AKK07
6. (filmed as 2nd) Lady Business First aired: 6/24/2007 Production Code: 2AKK02
7. (filmed as 4th) Stride First aired: 6/24/2007 Production Code: 2AKK04
8. (filmed as 3rd) Crazy Goat First aired: 7/1/2007 Production Code: 2AKK03
9. (filmed as 1st) Fatty First aired: 7/1/2007 Production Code: 2AKK01
10. (filmed as 6th) The Stranger First aired: 7/1/2007 Production Code: 2AKK06

So yeah - it was completely shown out of order. All in all I think Bret Harrison will fare better playing another Sam in Reaper. But then again the CW, could rape it like it was being aired on FOX. We'll see how well the Kevin Smith directed pilot goes.

I'm glad someone else noticed this too. The changes made to the show between Season 1 and Season 2 were not for the better.
