Arrested Development should be on the list. And I don't think it's overrated in the least. And Futurama belongs on this list more than The Simpsons does.

X-files had conventions going on while the show was on the air.

The list should be topped by the shows with a big enough following to support fan conventions devoted to that single show.

Believe it or not there are conventions for Stargate, Firefly, Farscape, BSG, and Lost just to name a few. Trekkies can't be blamed for everything

and with that in mind, how could the Fresh Prince of Bel Air not make the list? Probably the best convention I've ever been to.

Seinfeld??? Where in the hell is Seinfeld?? Has any comedy (The Simpsons included) ever had a greater cult following??

And where's The Brady Bunch???

Both of these shows have cult followings much larger than Jericho ever will.

And where are great shows like SCTV, Police Squad and Max Headroom? Kolchak: The Night Stalker??

Worthless list IMHO.

[EDIT: Yes, I did originally write Kojak: the Night Stalker. Thats what you get for typing these things while half awake. Now I guess I'll be haunted by visions of Simon Oakland beating Darren McGavin with a humongous lollipop.]

I love when people confuse the 2 shows & call it Kojak: the night stalker, I always ask them what is Telly Savalas fighting Zombies & Monsters for?

I would totally go to an Arrested Development convention as J. Walter Weatherman.

And that's why you always do research before publishing a top 30 list!

Including "Family Guy" while omitting "Arrested Development" absolutely destroys this list's credibility, though it's nice that "Pee-wee's Playhouse" made the list again.

Re: "Family Guy": retarded frat boys and internet nerds are not a "cult".

no Arrested Development and no Scrubs NO SALE!

Two comedies have a huge cult following.
As for the order of the list, I don't even know where to start

Exactly. I'm not a fan of the show, but I know it had a huge cult following with lots of mourning over it's early death. You would think a publication such as TV Guide would remember this, when it comes to producing a "Top ___ List"

I hate lists

Well...they did manage to get the show back on the air, didn't they?

Angel may have been a spin-off (which actully helps with it's 'cult' standing), but it was better than Buffy, and it doesn't even make the list?
Consider shenanigans called!

By the way, isn't this list like a year old? I remember reading this a while ago.

EDIT: Maybe it's updated with Jericho and such. That's what the * are for.

The first thing that should be done is explain the idiot and/or idiots who wrote this list what cult means. Lost and The Simpsons are not cult.

I understand the Buffy inclusion. But Angel is superior in just about every department.

I'm even surprised The Office (either version actually) didn't make this list. Between the catchphrases, the inside jokes, the availability of Dwigt bobblehead dolls, and the sheer fact that its Internet-to-'real world' popularity ratio is pretty high, it seems to have a clear cult following.

How in the f*ck is it possible for there to be no mention of Carnivale???
That was the first thing that popped in my head when i saw this thread title and thought for sure it'd be in the top 5.
Also i am surprised this thread has gone this long without menion of Carnivale.
Was it just to painful to remember after the cancellation and failed attempts to bring it back?
