While I'm disappointed that this show is coming to an end (despite the wildly uneven season), NBC does deserve props for at least airing the remaining episodes rather than withholding them exclusively for DVD.

I want to give them props as well, but I'm guessing they were contractually obligated to air them.

Yep, I read they were contractually obligated to do this when they first signed on the series. I'm sure they would have rather played Deal or No Deal reruns.

Now, the average budget of Studio 60 is somewhere in the realm of three million, correct?

I have five bucks... Any takers?

That was a fine finale. Wrapped up all the major stuff nicely.

I'm going to miss these people.

Now Sorkin should go start a show on cable.

Pretty good final episode. Maybe a little too tidy, but at least all the ends were tied up. Now that we've all seen how a show could end, I think a cut and dry tidy finale has a certain appeal.

Wouldn't it be cool if in like 2010 or something, Sorkin makes another series and one of the leads would be a character named Becky Tripp? That's what I immediately thought of when we saw the baby's face and heard her name.

Can someone sum up the Simon/Jack plot tonight? I kinda missed how it ended. How exactly did Jack keep his word if Matt and Danny were fired? Were they fired? I thought from this episode they quit?

I liked it. Gave us the closure. Nice to see Amanda Peet, if only for a few minutes.

Jack said Simon didn't have to apologize because he realized it should be obvious to anyone with a brain that he didn't mean what he said in his outburst to the press. That's what Simon wanted to hear and so he went out to apologize. Jack tried to stop him and they almost (comically) came to blows.

And like the end of both seasons of Sports Night, it wrapped up neatly in case it was the end.

I was kind of sad when Danny turned of the ghost light. The ghost light ALWAYS stays on when a stage is not in use. The only time one would turn it off like that would be if a theater was closing.

Good episode to end with. While it's manipulation 101 to put a family member or baby in jeopardy, I fell for it.

The show always worked better when the actual "Studio 60" broadcast was a background issue, and the characters acted like real people instead of soapboxes. I thought tonight was a good example. I will miss this show.
