I still have fond memories of Shatner's gig on "Rescue 911" (there's another program I would like to see revived), even though I don't care for Shatner himself. And of course Kurtis hosted his recently cancelled series on A&E, "Cold Case Files", "American Justice", and "Investigative Reports".

I don't see Shatner as being right for this show at all, but  to your other choices.

^Yeah, maybe not, but I remember being unexpectedly impressed with the non-cheesy solemnity he lent to "Rescue 911".

How about the reanimated corpse of Jack Palance? I loved the breathy, almost Shakespearean way he would say "Believe it...or not!"

I am all for them getting rid of some segments. If I have to watch another Lost Loves...

Agreed! Robert Stack was an asset to the show. His husky voice was perfect.

WTF?? All three of thse shows have been cancelled?? I loved CCF and Bill Kurtis is a great narrator/host. Guess they're making more room for Dog The Bounty Hunter and Gene Simmon's Family Jewels

Yeah, I mean, it's not like Cold Case Files was Shakespeare or anything, but it was classier than most of the crap A&E puts on now. Is there some sort of law of cable television where every channel eventually turns into Fox?

I remember when Bravo was showing things like Au revoir, les enfants commercial-free, for god's sake.

In Fox's defense they actually do have FX, which has some of the best original cable shows ever created.

This is very amusing... I just finished the "Ghosts" set and was thinking that it'd be cool if they made a new show. It won't quite be the same with a new host though. :(

Slightly off-topic: It would have been great if they did updates for the shows on the DVD sets as extras.

That was a show that definitely scared the crap out of me as an 8-year-old.

My choice for host (even though it'll never happen)--Alex Trebek.

How about Jonathan Frakes?

I loved Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction when he hosted the show & I'm extremely happy to see the show get a Season 1 DVD release on August. 28th, 2007.

It's along the same lines as Unsolved Mysteries & Althrough he's no Robert Stack he still is a pretty damn good host.
