Spoiler:

Looking forward to it. Every episode gets better and better.

Can someone explain the whole straight edge thing to my....why would they have beat Ben up?

I always thought straight edge was a skateboard lifestyle for religious nerds

dolphinboy 06-25-07 11:57 PM

I thought that was one of the best episodes of the series.

The writing and acting are incredible and the stories are only getting more interesting.

I can't wait until next week.

Brilliant perfect tension, Margene was great with Barb. Nikki came into her own and family first.. unlike her pop who was throwing albie under the train all for money.

I haven't seen this ep yet but I gotta admit that I've been feeling sorry for Albie lately, especially after last week's ep.

andicus 06-26-07 12:28 AM

Fantastic episode! I had a good chuckle at Adaleen cutting up the hog, and hauling the big sack of potatoes.

Alby may be getting the shit end of the stick, but let's not forget what a bastard he has been in the past.

Exactly. Don't feel sorry for him at all. He's basically using his father's tactics from a different direction but isn't as good at it.

What was also interesting was the Lois Henrickson laundromat venture which explains why she'd called Bill from there last week and then hung up on him. I love Grace Zabriskie.

I really want to see a family tree for Nicki's family. I just couldn't get my head around what her mother was telling that little girl.

Red Dog 06-26-07 10:46 AM

I loved Roman's reasoning for getting into the video poker business.:thumbsup:

Merkin Muffley 06-26-07 10:47 AM

I love Nicki's mom...she's hilarious.

Iron Chef 06-26-07 10:57 AM

I thought that they were going to send more cops, and pull Bill over on his way out of the compound.

BDB 06-26-07 11:04 AM

Man the picture now on the page is awesome

slop101 06-26-07 11:25 AM

Why wouldn't Nikki tell Bill that it was her dad that outed Barb?

And man, Barb's sister is a stone-cold c*nt.

BDB 06-26-07 11:45 AM

I don't know if Nikkie believed Alby

Then why confront her father about it?
She was either too preoccupied about the cops comming, or just didn't want to make bill hate her father any more than he already does.

Is that what it meant? I thought it was 'sex' with the letters rearranged to confuse people.
I didn't get it. At first it sounded like he was becoming a moderate what with thinking his parent were wrong, but then he broke out the crazy, and got ben beat up.

I wonder if he's going to be the villian this season and out his parents.

BDB 06-26-07 12:20 PM

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_edge

Straight edge (also known as sXe, and xXx) refers to a lifestyle, a personal commitment, a philosophy, and a subculture that is closely associated with hardcore punk music. Straight edgers abstain from tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Followers of the straight-edge world view may also abstain from caffeine or casual sex, and practice vegetarianism or veganism. Originally most followers of straight edge were atheists, who believed religion was a form of weakness and mind control; although as the culture grew, this ideology became less popular.

Shipwreck 06-26-07 12:26 PM

I don't know what Chloë Sevigny is doing differently but she really looks great this season. It's like she had some major spa treatment or something.

The story line is getting more interesting, especially with the runaway child bride showing up.

paradicelost 06-26-07 01:34 PM

Was that the first shot of nudity we got that didn't feature Bill Paxton's ass.
Great episode, I think Margie really is starting to come into her own as a character and is starting to grow some balls of her own.

MrX 06-26-07 01:53 PM

Very good episode. I'm glad they addressed the Margie/Ben stuff they started playing with last season.
