Hell's Kitchen "Day 4" 6/25/07 9pm on FOX

Another week with our favorite chef.

Synopsis:

Spoiler:
When the losing team is unable to identify some commonplace items in a taste-test challenge, chef Gordon Ramsay orders a grotesque taste-testing practice that turns several stomachs.

I hope not, because if this ends up being a normal thing...I'm off this show.

Is Beef Wellington really that difficult to cook? Seems like 3 shows in a row where they've had a problem cooking it.

Figured no reason to spoiler this

3 seasons in a row where they can't cook Beef Wellington.

Was it just me or did they cut out part of the tasting challenge? The score was 5-3 and chef said Vinnie had to answer 2 to tie and 3 to win, not acknowledging that the girls could have gotten any right. Then he says if Vinnie answers any wrong then the girls win. They never showed the score again and Vinnie only got to sample 1 item.

The score was female 5, male 3. Since Vinnie got the first 1 wrong, the best the male can do then is tie 5-5 so automatically the male lose.

Why would they lose with a tie?

Before you go on Survivor, learn how to start a fire.
Before you go on The Amazing Race, learn how to drive a stick.
Before you go on Hell's Kitchen, learn how to cook Beef Wellington and risotto

What the hell is wrong with these people?

This is an INTERVIEW process.

You still need to keep your reputation intact, regardless of the outcome of this show. Future employers can go back and look at this and I would think you would want to be fairly represented.

It appears that this is apparently too intense for most of the people if they can't remember times, temperatures, etc.

Rock and Jen...wtf were they thinking? They know right off which ones they should choose, yet they fail to choose the correct ones. They could have done a little kiss ass for Ramsey by choosing the ones he knew had to go.

I love this show, but I am not impressed.

While I do think there are simple cook fuck ups occuring here due to the pressures of being on the show and Ramsey's insane blow ups and high bar, I'm also starting to wonder if there isn't some sabotage being done by the show from time to time.

I think some of the "customers" may have lied about their food being bad.

Ramsey was a jackass from start to finish tonight. I can't imagine having Ramsey as a boss or a co-worker at one of his restaurants.

It would be funny if Fox threw a curveball at Ramsey for next season. Instead of brining in a collection of "regular" folks, they should bring in 12 world famous chefs as contestants. Let's see if Ramsey would still yell at them.

Yeah! I thought that Ramsey, and his 2 Bitches when he's on a rant, were final checking -ALL- the food that hits the "hot plate"? So how can crap food get past him and to the customers?

---

To be honest, tonights show was fuckin' boring. It was the same ole shit.

I miss Aaron. At least he brought some comedy gold with his medical issues and nervous breakdowns.

I think I would just shove the shit down my mouth, pay & leave rather than face the wrath of Ramsay. I thought the episode was pretty good last night & I'm glad they voted off Vinnie rather than Bonnie because even though they are both incompetent fucks, at least Bonnie is something nice to look at.

Can't wait to see how there going to fuck up that Wedding next week. Who the hell would actually want or agree to having a Wedding there?

Money can make people do a lot of things. I would guess they were offered $X thousands by Fox to have their reception at Hell's Kitchen with a back kicker that if things go vastly wrong Fox will pay to do another reception for them.

Yeah, I agree. I wish they could shake the format up a little.

The people who bring their food back to the hot plate are plants. Have to be. Otherwise, why does the camera always pick up their conversation leading up to them deciding to go see Gordon. Not that that matters much in the grand scheme of things.

This is definitely one of the "lighter" reality shows.

Pretty awful ep. I can't get anough of Ramsay, which is why I still watch, but the contestants on this show are lousy chefs and, with the exception of Julia, near worthless as TV personalities.

At least the year one and two winners were excellent chefs and had the tough make-ups to run a high profile kitchen. Seriously, I can't imagine any of these people working anything more than the line in a restaurant.

It's to the point where I just fast forward through everything between the reward challenge results and the start of the 'restaurant opening'. The rewards and punishments are just so boring to watch. One side bitches and vows to take the other side down, the other side gloats and jokes about their opponents' punishment.

I'm thinking it was some sort of ill-advised attempt at strategy. Maybe they each figured if they put a stronger person up and the other side puts up a weak contestant, that Gordon would have no choice but to kick out the weaker one, keeping their own team intact.

Yeah, how can their food always seem to be raw? Even after being in the oven!
