TV's 'Mr. Wizard' Don Herbert dies at 89
 

Man that sucks. Mr. Wizard's World was right in my wheelhouse.

I was amazed to hear he was still alive a couple years ago, he was old in the 80s.

I loved his show growing up.

In the words of Darth Vader "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

RIP, Mr. Wizard. You were the man back in the day.

My feelings exactly; I reference him at least a few times a year in my classes.

He was better than The Science guy douche.

What a shame. I always enjoyed reading his books when I was growing up. Thanks, Mr. Wizard, and rest in peace.

Wow, that show opening brought me back. Loved that show. Between that, Brain Games on HBO, and Square One learning never seemed so much fun.

Fantastic show, great guy.

R.I.P. 'Mr. Wizard'

One of the first shows I remember watching. He was a great teacher.

I'm pretty sure his show is one of the earliest things that got my interested in science.

He will be missed. :(

It was a great show

he should have donated his body to science

His show was the subject of a recurring parody (Ask Mr. Lizard) on the Disney-Henson comedy Dinosaurs.

Herbert appeared on a Pioneer laserdisc in the early 80's to explain how simple(?) the technology was. Patrick O'Neal was on the flip side, extolling the player's virtues.
