Guess Tony will spend the rest of his days looking up every time someone enters a room.

Ugh, I wanted the moment to sink in and my wife just started going 'yap yap yap yap yap' about how they ended it. God damnit.
Overall though, that ending... I knew David Chase wanted to end the series with us knowing that life goes on for The Sopranos but how insane was that?

is it as simple as..
Meadow made it, so the whole family was there?
they have ended seasons at the dinner table before
but what was the guy heading into the bathroom about?
re: yap yap yap, you're lucky if she stayed quiet until it was over
haha

I knew this wouldn't be popular, but that is the most perfect ending this show could have had. Did those two guys whack Tony and/or his family? Do they live happily ever after? The resolution is up to you, to make your own based on your own morality(?). Perfect.
I don't know about anyone else, but my heart was beating out of my chest during that whole scene. Perfect tension with nothing other than what could be shots of innocent diners enjoying their dinner. Awesome.
But what is the deal with the cat?

Um, yeah... Not even close. Last week should have been the finale. But I guess this is how the series should end. With nothing happening. Sure the last 5 minutes had great tension but what was with the rest of the hour?

This is the first episode of The Sopranos I've ever watched. I tuned in just to get an idea of what people were talking about.
I'll watch the series once the (HD) DVDs aren't $100 per season.

fitting ending for wrinkly mcjumpsuit, i thought
"say bye bye to Grandpa!"
i was waving at my screen and laughing
*pop* *pop* *pop*
that would have been a good ending

David Chase is a pussy. Great show, shitty finale for a series that has been on for 7-8 years.
Phil getting popped and Tony going to see Uncle June were awesome scenes.
How could so many situations be left unresolved ?
well, actually, tahst the way the entore series has been. Guess nothing more could be expected just because it was the finale.

Not a big watcher of the show, having seen a few episodes here and there, but that ending was terrible imho. Maybe it's because I wasn't a loyal fan. I too thought my dvr f@cked up.

Does everything have to be spoon fed and underlined? Then again, I like David Lynch films, so my opinion is probably worthless.

i thought the guy who went to the bathroom left a bag on his seat and was going to climb out the bathroom window and the place would blow up.
Reminds me of the Seinfeld Series Finale where Larry David came back and wrote it (like Chase did for this episode) and it kinda sucked.

It would have been a 100x better ending if Tony choked on the onion ring and died right there. What a garbage ending. Darwin award for editing on that final cut.
